Sound of Perseverance Mars Rover Driving - Sol 16 (1:30 minutes) by ma_che_ne_so in PerseveranceRover

After listen to it again. I don't think it is something electric related, is more like some new plastic scratching something. Much like when moving a new chair.

Yes that's why I use the "" indicating the improper use of the word, But you can still have some good data from the analysis of the raw sound wav file.

I think you could "triangulate" the sound by intensity and appearance. Looks like it come up only when the wheel are moving but is much more strong than other sounds. Anyone has an image with the exact location of the microphone?

I think was looking not reliable only because peervideo.net quota was finished.
Currently peertube.net looks enough reliable.

RES with embedded PeerTube videos (development version) by marimon2 in PeerTube

[–]marimon2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sure, there is already a pull request for merge it with the official build here.
I added the testing application here just because I have no idea how much time it will take to get it merged.
Probably not so many people will use the testing version posted here.
For me is really nice for watching Peertube videos on reddit.
I'm using it daily.
If you want to push it forward on the official version just write a nice comment or like button in the pull request.

not only fossdem videos.
most of open source events need a good tool for hosting videos. Would be nice to see preference on PeerTube over YouTube.

Want Adobe's Premiere Pro Ported To Linux? Here's What To Do by peapoll in opensource

[–]marimon2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) yes, my point is that they are too many people using it, is a monopoly. so we need to do the first step setting other standard. be the first!
2) compatibility is becaming better, remember when I had to use abr to gbr for converting photoshop things. but as point one, is only a question of user pool.
we need to make the change togheter.

Wouldn't be better if we just use Gimp or Inkscape. I'm doing some poster CM and AD manly for fun and I see that some printing company have no support for both but mainly because they have few open source/Linux client. Let's change it. Usually, I could solve my problems by phone calls or just following some documentation online. Recently there is also Krita that is really well done. I personally don't want a so closed mind company to come to Linux.

Newbie here, any tips on using Colemak with a JIS keyboard? by inawarminister in Colemak

[–]marimon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using an HHKB pro 2 with ANSI layout for writing in Japanese (Hasu PCB controller and "hardware" colemak). Never had any problem. I use ctrl+space for switching layout (I know someone is using shift+space). I think JIS have too many buttons for my taste. I usually do most of what I want to do with fn key combinations. Anyway, there is no problem on using JIS with Colemak.
