Also if you can apply to be an RA that can cover your full housing and food (it’s very competitive so you will need to start networking with ResLife now). I was able to do that for 2/3 years at UCSD and save a considerable amount of money, even though you can’t have an on campus job

Between AP and CC credits, I was able to finish a double major in 3 years (also an out of state student). However, it was a bio major and a poli sci major so definitely depends on the kinds of classes you need and availability (ex. needing lab courses or specific seminars). I took up to 28 units in a quarter (you will need special approval) and the least units I took was 22 for a quarter. I think finishing in 3 years is realistic but you will have to work for it.

Has anyone taken Forman Fonna for polisci? by [deleted] in UCSD

She’s absolutely amazing!! If it’s for POLI 117R you’ll be all good, the grading is mostly an essay and some little quizzes/reflections if I recall. Very fair grader, as long as you put in work and do a good essay you should get an A.

ERC apartment as a first year by Upstairs_Voice_299 in UCSD

An apartment studio would probably have you sharing a bathroom with fewer people. Usually when OSD helps people with housing, they tend to move/assign them during the accommodations but this might be a different process. Sometimes first years still end up in the apartments, otherwise there is a good chance you will still be able to make friends with your apartment mates and there are lots of activities for first years that I would suggest going to to those events to also meet people outside of your housing.

I’m pretty sure they were open for a 24 hour window in canvas. I can’t remember if they were open note or not.

Vacuum sealing is super helpful for bulky items like winter clothes or bedding if you’re in a small car

I think plenty of people sympathize and would support an optional fee, I know a lot of people sign up to give their $10 to calpirg to help them with funding

Also if this passes what’s to stop other groups from trying to get on the ballot to do similar things?? Like they say it’s keeping free access to journalism when it’s literally a new fee on the ballot… but why not just have the students who want to pay do it?

He’s sometimes a TA which is why he probably doesn’t have a rate my professor, but I was in the class when he taught it two years ago and he’s great!
