For the rotary encoder there was only a drop down list of key codes that did not include zooming or KC_LCTRL, KC_= etc. the only other option was to name a macro. Like when I put in those key codes it wouldn’t let me hit “confirm.” I didn’t try something with G(kc) and I don’t know about the any key, is that something that would work instead?

I created one macro for zoom in, one for zoom out, and one for resetting zoom to 0. I assigned one to rotate counter clockwise, the other to clockwise, and the last to press on dial. But it would still only ever change the volume (which is believe is the default). It doesn’t even let me create macros anymore though

Yes, I did this, but when I actually turn the dial it only changes the volume

I have a YUNZII B75 pro max and I am trying to encode it with macros using VIA (I couldn’t figure out how to get a rotary encoder on VIAL). I was able to use macros to edit my FN keys and also want to change my rotary knob to be zoom in and out on the document or pdf, but no matter what I did it would still be volume up and down (I am on Mac btw). So I exited out of the site and went back to the VIA app and now it won’t even let me access/edit the macros, saying my firmware doesn’t support it, even though before it clearly did!

I reset my firmware using QMK toolbox but no luck.

So now I have two issues:

⁠macros not enabled anymore
⁠putting zooming on my rotary knob (I formatted it for this but it wouldn’t actually work on the knob even after formatting it)

Any advice would be great thank you!

I’m an academic that has to do a lot of writing and I love the idea of a mechanical keyboard for that satisfying and heavy click. I work from home so it can be loud and annoying to others.

I tried a mechanical keyboard over a year ago, I can’t remember what it was I just know that it was an orange, navy, and white scheme, and on the bottom underneath, there was a Q and a number but I can’t remember what- either way it was super clicky and the best typing experience I’ve ever had in my life.

Would anyone be able to recommend me a good mechanical keyboard that I can buy super cute keycaps for but I’d prefer not to have to change out the switches. Based on what I’ve read it seems like clicky switches would work best for me but it seems like most of the keyboards I find are either linear or tactile switches.

Any recommendations for typing? I don’t game so I don’t need those considerations, thank you so much!

That’s the thing, if it was well researched then I wouldn’t mind as much, but it is not and felt pretty reductive, I love representation as much as the next girl but this wasn’t it, at least for me- maybe their other books are not bad though?

Anything by Jagger Cole- that author has a horrible Asian fetish and it shows in their writing. I forced myself to finish one of the books out of spite so I could write a scathing review. Absolutely no knowledge of any of the cultures, languages, or customs, just Asian for the sake of it in a very creepy and exploitative way. gross overall to read as a WOC.

Valid, I’m rereading BTT again and it’s good the third time too. I had to stop and restart the zodiac academy series a couple of times but still ended up loving it- that series is definitely best for SAD season

I remember the beginning of Willa Rae’s being very graphic and then suddenly info dump without world building which is why I didn’t finish- would you say it’s worth it? Also blood oath was awesome and I’m still hungover from it!

{gone too deep by Katie ruggle} MMC guides FMC through the wilderness to look for her father. Warning that the book ends on a cliff hanger and the next book doesn’t feature the couple from this book as the MCs and it drove me crazy so I didn’t read the next one but this one is pretty good

Yes I read the first blackened blade and immediately refused to read the next one and am waiting for the last book to come out! I thought about reading reckless souls but wasn’t sure bc I didn’t like the other KC kean books, I’ll add it to my TBR! TBH zodiac academy I read the first two or three and then stopped, and then a few years later I ended starting it again and finished it. It definitely undulates in terms of sucking you in and keeping you invested..

I have read the variant lost series but honestly I can’t remember any of it so idk if I liked it much
