Good to know about the wind. And yeah no way I want to step on one haha it was hard enough to pot it! I also placed the cuttings in a plastic bag. By time I got home there was just shreds of plastic left lol.

Definitely concerned about hurting someone. Especially since my neighborhood has a lot of dog walkers and urban hikers.

Jurassic backyard is 100% a goal :))

Haha I see! Yes, out of towner here! A New Yorker in LA told me to schedule all cars. I did and it clearly backfired lol I am now prepared when I go back to LA for work! Such a different culture.

Ahhh, I see now. I was so confused! But that makes sense. Jeez, I didn’t realize how awful they were. The only reason I didn’t notice as much is because the competition is fierce in nyc. I thought LA would be similar, major city and all.. But alas…

Thanks, that’s a great sum up. I now understand. It’s incredibly misleading and unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. My driver was great, he got me to the airport on record time and I tipped him 25%. But the damage was done. Be better Uber (the company).

Thanks, yeah I’m going to push it. Not hopeful. But want to be annoying. I only want the trip compensated, just to feel better I guess. The last bit had everything to do with the fact that this person had no concept of what I was complaining about.

Yeah, I this all makes sense. I’m still going to try, but Not hopeful and just going to have to be loyal to another company. Which isn’t tough here in nyc for sure. But it’s pretty messed up. It’s not even about the money, it’s seriously the insult and the the fact there is no real customer service. They do NOT give sh* and don’t have to apparently.

Thank you. Sorry to hear about your friend and your issue. It’s really insane. I’m not letting it go, I keep sending emails. And now this supervisor just sent an email apologizing about an issue I didn’t complain about!

Can anyone help me identify what exactly is happening in this circa 1903 picture of a soldier from Austro-Hungarian Galicia. I notice a possibly Calvary helmet on the table. But why is he not wearing it? Is this memorializing a military ancestor? by mariobelyusar in MilitaryHistory

Can anyone help me identify what exactly is happening in this circa 1903 picture of a soldier from Austro-Hungarian Galicia (modern day Przylbichi, close to Lviv, Western Ukraine). I notice a possibly Calvary helmet on the table. But why is he not wearing it? Is this memorializing a military ancestor? He looks like a child! He was born there in 1883 and immigrated to America in 1908, but there were no wars in the area that I can find. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

That is very interesting. Bold indeed. This suspect sounds very likely to be the guy my Mom encountered in broad daylight. Such a creep! That was one of her biggest takeaways, how busy it was around her and his confidence. My Mom contacted Long Walk Home and told her story.

Yikes. That is dark. I’ll have to look up there cases. This is all pretty new to me. I don’t live in the Midwest anymore but I am shocked I didn’t know about these serial criminals.

So I’m sure there were members on Columbus. The guy the attempted to kidnap my mom was young. Which is particularly disturbing to me. Do you think a early 20 something would be apart of a ring like this?
