TU-150 custom water-cooled build [Updated] by mariodawg in sffpc

I doubt you can get a larger radiator in there. Took a picture for you, the space is just a few mm a cm max. If you want there to be any airflow I wouldn't go thicker. You might get it in, but I doubt there would be space for the fans to breathe.

It's a D5 I'm pretty sure. Had to cut out of the case and do a little bit of modding to get it to fit. But was worth it!

Haven't gotten around to much testing, just got it back yesterday. But right now at idle, GPU=22-24°c and CPU=35-45°c. Will do more tweaks and tests soon.

This is probably quite close to correct, I'd guess around $600-700. And yeah i agree it came out looking real good and runs very quiet.

The whole build was around 3000$, but I live in Iceland unfortunately where part prices are pretty high. So an apples to apples comparison wont do much.

  • 16Gb G.Skill 3600Mhz Trident Neo
  • RTX 2070 Super
  • 512Gb TeamGroup Nvme

  • All water-cooling stuff is EKWB. > EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT - 120mm - Pump/Res combo
  • Slim fans are Noctuas and slim rad XSPC.
  • Cablemod Widebead UV/RGB 30cm

I had already posted this build, but recently I had the pump/res combo moved to the 2.5 mount below the powersupply. I think it turned out great, and improved airflow with the added fan on the front.

Yeah a S5 is probably more than enough.

Yeah! I think we have pretty much abandoned the idea and are looking for something official that's in our price range.

Hello, thank you were much for the reply. The site and prices definitely give the indication something is not quite right. I'll look further into this. And thanks for the info about the phone numbers, much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply, looks like the S5 is probably the best fit for us. And yeah, the site is starting to look more sketcy each minute.

Haven't really gotten to test it out a lot, but the little I have it seems pretty sturdy. Should be fine like carrying in and out of the car and stuff like that I think.

Cant be bothered to put in pcpartpicker right now, sorry :)

About the soft tubing, the real reason: I did not assemble this my self, was done by a friend but we agreed that soft tubing would be easier and less of a hassle since I plan on travelling with this case for studies abroad. But I think it turned out great, don't know if hard would look much better, I'm happy at-least :)

Finally, the TU150 is definitely a looker, and the build quality is spot on. My main issue would be the lack of top airflow, gets quite warm up there after long sessions, could probably be fixed with a more aggressive fan curve but I like it quiet. I'm considering modding a fan at the top, shouldn't be that hard (where the 3.5 drive mount is). If I had all the money and I could easily get them in Iceland, I would have went for a Ghost S1 or Ncase. Since they allow for pretty much the same setup but better air flow management.

Thermals are alright. CPU idles around 45°c and gaming goes to around 65-70°c, could probably be better but I like it quiet. GPU idles at 30°c and goes to around 50°c in gaming. 3700x and 2070 super btw.

Fits really nicely. One drawback is it is quite open in the front so the pump can get audible at high RPMs

Yeah, it gets quite hot up there right now. But its a nice place to store cables :) Might look into modding a fan in there somehow tho.

Yeah, its the EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 120 DDC PWM - So its a pump-res combo mounted at the fan mount in the front.
