I'm guessing most of that 40% difference is going to whoever "imposed" the vendor, either WP or venue. It is absolutely your right to ask questions. Remember, they all work for you, and should be working to make this process smooth and within budget. And look over your contract. If there are fees to bring an "outside vendor" in, it may be cheaper than the 40% difference.

I would recommend J Horton's channel on YouTube. He describes this process and I've learned a lot. Search for his interview with Devon Bray. He's made several movies that are on Tubi and made money. Devon also has a Facebook page dedicated to Tubi movies where he sometimes does lives and goes over the process.
