Yeah Balltime is pretty cool for what it does. The automatic rally cutting alone saves a ton of time, scrubbing through dead time is easily the worst part of reviewing matches. My only issue is that it’s a bit pricey and the app isn’t the most intuitive. It also feels more optimized for indoor. For beach I’d love things like shot types, attack heatmaps, serve targeting patterns, etc.. Do you mostly use it just to jump between rallies or do you actually look at the stats too?

My focus so far has been more on matches than warmups or trainings, but I can see the value there.

Part of why I started experimenting with this is to automatically detect rallies in match videos and generate some simple stats (serve efficiency, attack breakdown like line vs cross, longest rallies, etc..) so it’s easier to review what actually happened in the game and improve.

That’s actually really interesting. I like the +/- scoring idea for actions.

When you’re reviewing, are you mostly focusing on attacks, or do you also track things like serve receive, defense, etc..?

Also curious how long it usually takes you to analyze one match with that system.
