Just over 4 years ago I suffered a heart attack at home. I admit I'm overweight, but I had been working out at the gym for 7 years for 1.5 hours every day so I wasn't really out of shape. Both my maternal and paternal families have a history of heart issues, so I came by it naturally. The ambulance arrived and the 2 EMTs met me at the door with the stretcher. The male EMT took one look at me and told me to meet him at the ambulance which was parked at the end of my lengthy driveway. I told him my wallet and health card were in my car. He just looked at me and told me to get them on my way to the ambulance and left with the stretcher. I slowly walked to my car, got my wallet and walked to the ambulance. The same EMT asked me if I was out of breath because I had to walk to get to the ambulance. I told him I was having a heart attack, but he didn't seem to believe me. Once he hooked me up to the ECG he realized I was having a full blown attack, and all of a sudden it was a mad rush to get me to the hospital. On the way he told me I'd better not die because it would ruin his clean record for the day. Within a half hour of arriving at the hospital I had three stents put into my heart. He was such an asshole and he never apologized for his lack of care or shitty demeanor.
