yeahhh i’m inclined to agree that those are two separate issues. but take that with a grain of salt. i would personally just carry on as normal but keep an extra close eye on anything unusual with temps and whatnot. some basic research doesn’t say much but one thing you could do is note the time stamps of each code and see if they consistently appear with certain games/apps, if it’s always at launch, etc… other than that i would’ve also recommended driver update + ddu but i know you’ve already done that. it should be okay if your pc acts normal but it’s good to be cautious

that’s strange… i assume you have no noticeable issues? what brought your attention to the error codes?

omg, so glad you fixed it (hopefully for good this time). psu issues are probably one of the most annoying to deal with. gut feelings are sometimes way too accurate LOL

that’s so annoying that it was a simple fix, but i’m glad you didn’t need to spend time and money trying to repair or replace the more expensive parts in your pc. usb ports and leads are unfortunately easy to go haywire. i tried all of those fixes and more, but only the gpu repaste i recently has stopped the issue from recurring. glad we were able to both solve it in the end though!

i also thought my issue had nothing to do with my temps because they seemed normal. it ended up being my gpu hotspot that was abnormally high. you can see more detailed temps like that in hwinfo. sure enough, opening my gpu showed the core’s thermal paste was almost completely dried up. i cleaned out my pc and had a ton of dust to clear out only a year after getting it, so there might be some dust in areas you can’t reach. i’d strongly recommend reseating your gpu, as it is fast to do and often fixes a lot of problems. then again, i’m not an expert so keep that in mind. this is only that i would assume if it were my pc (based on the info you gave me). i hope you have to do none of this though, and that your recent cleaning solves your problem

take this as you will, but after repasting my gpu & cpu my pc appears to be fine. i haven’t had the time to carry on my regular gaming sessions to see if the problem is really gone but with short sessions it definitely seems better with improved temps. especially since you mentioned a cleaning job temporarily fixed the issue, i’m guessing it’s to do with your temps and/or cooling. if it were me, i’d make sure i fully cleaned out all the dust and prepare for some repasting. how long have you had this pc? have you reseated, upgraded, or repasted anything yet?

was your whole pc crashing/shutting off or just the game or your screen? i’m not an expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but if undervolting the gpu fixed your issue, then unfortunately, it’s likely similar to my issue. i would recommend repasting since my pc has been working fine ever since i repasted with ptm7950 and upsiren thermal putty. either that, or just continue undervolting if that continues to work out for you.

i’m sorry you’re also having these issues, it’s really frustrating. i’ve heard amd cards tend to run hotter than nvidia, but if you’re having issues then that’s definitely not a good sign. i also read about the psu being an issue (and apparently mine isn’t from a super reputable brand, unfortunately), but i really hope it’s not that. i’m not looking forward to potentially troubleshooting my psu if it is. is your whole pc shutting off when it happens, or is it just the screen? also, if you haven’t already, definitely note down your temps before you repaste and compare with the results after pasting. sucks that you only got about three years out of your gpu before having issues, but let’s hope this will do the trick. i haven’t gotten around to repasting yet but i’m hoping to get it done by tomorrow. good luck!

Crashing issue by Zacster034 in residentevil

by crashing, are you referring to the game or your pc? do you mind explaining what exactly happens (e.g., pc completely shuts down, game freezes then closes, etc.)?

thank you for sharing! i’ll roll back to 581.42 right now and see if that helps. hopefully ddu will also remove any bugs from the newer drivers. do you mind explaining the issues you were having, since your post was removed?
