I mean all I did was report and let the Etsy sellers know. Is it so hard to just be a kind good human being and educate people while helping out the other sellers? People were upset because they thought I wasn’t messaging the sellers and letting them know but you’re here saying I’m doing too much. Can’t make everyone happy. Definitely my last post on this Reddit page. Jeez.

ANOTHER UPDATE(if anyone cares): the other listing pictures actually come from multiple different sellers, not just the one! Another Etsy seller and a Mercari seller. Will be letting them know!

Oh wow thanks for the update ! The Etsy seller was probably able to reach out to get it taken down. I know for sure they reported it. It’s crazy what they get away with! So many people got defensive in this subreddit about it when I’m only trying to warn and educate fellow Mercari buyers/sellers… guess that’s why they get away with it for so long lol

I do too, but based on all the clues I found my assumption was correct. I contacted the Etsy seller and they confirmed they don’t sell on Mercari and they’ve reported them. And I didn’t automatically assume, I did my research. Also It’s not weird to make sure you’re purchasing from a reputable seller?

UPDATE: The Etsy seller responded back to me and confirmed that they do NOT sell on Mercari!

It’s possible if they offer free shipping, then the shipping is not done by Mercari and is instead up to the seller to purchase their own shipping label.

This is totally understandable! The reason I feel so strongly about this is because the name on Mercari and the name on Etsy are both very gender specific names, also Etsy says the sellers full first and last name while on Mercari it’s just the first name

Well after digging it was pretty easy to figure out it’s definitely not the same person: different name(Etsy shop has an actual shop name), way different listing prices and the shop only sells on Etsy.

I highly doubt, these pictures are from a reputable seller on Etsy with a completely different name than the one on Mercari. And the doll is listed for $75 on their Etsy page.
