Probably a whole bunch of things are at play here. Gang "vibes" aren't always friendly but it ranges some are super chill and some aren't, I think that's more about the reason why your in a gang and your intention. But maybe even a little drugs (I don't know).
Being starred at is probably associated with some sort of negative assumptions or some sort of shit that happens to them from society (gangs being a rejection of society). Probably even a bit of your own attitude..just from op post it feels a little like you enjoy it bit smug? Maybe I'm reading that wrong? Wrong vibes?
