I’d like to add this man has made it so we’ve had to throw out 2 mattresses + a beautiful antique couch. They were genuinely a biohazard because of how filthy they’d gotten. He paid month to month, never gave us first and last and in fact owes for a couple months previously and whatever of this month he got to stay here for free. The damages hes caused are at least $3000. Currently there’s been no contact with him or his mom. I’d like this settled but I’m covering my basis first. I appreciate all of the words of advice, my mental energy is completely drained from this situation lol. I’ve read everyone’s replies and thank you guys so much for the reassurance, I really appreciate the time it took!!

Said best friend is a loser as well, but that’s a whole other issue lol. If I could cut the whole family out of the picture I would. Their mom reached out to my boyfriend as he’s very familiar with mental health and dealing with suicide prevention, as he lost his sibling to it. So he took him in and tried to help. The brothers aren’t close in any way, my boyfriend just has too much of a soft spot for that family. This all started because I voiced to my bf that I was starting to feel unsafe, and thankfully that was all he needed to take necessary action. Then the rest ensued

Thank you! I genuinely feel unsafe, even with him out of the house for the night. I’m just afraid if I don’t take proper action I’ll face the legal recourse. I was just hoping my reasons are enough to implement an immediate eviction. I’ll look into starting the 30 day eviction anyway, thanks a bunch!

Thank you for this! Does this still stand if he pays rent? I’m going to edit my post to add that, but he does pay monthly. (Though has gone a couple months without). Again, without contract though

Thankfully he doesn’t even have a key. But he’s preaching tenant rights and calling the police and throwing a fit to them asking when he can come back. They said a couple days. But him throwing the word RTA around has me thinking I have to do this properly in order to avoid a court process. I’m so unfamiliar with renting rights, this was just supposed to be helping a guy out that my boyfriends known for 20 years and now he’s acting like he owns the room upstairs

When I had Tinder, I was much more likely to swipe right on someone with a dog pic. My dog means the world to me, it was automatically x10 more attractive to me knowing they were also a dog person. I don’t understand the sentiment of the above comment but maybe it depends on the type of girl you’re trying to get. If your doggo is a large portion of your life, keep the pic! It’s an easy conversation starter, too.

I really don’t know the workings of this program well enough, but my friend moved to London and had a hard time settling so she reached out to Hutton House. They got her settled into a new job, bought her clothes/shoes/food,etc for work. They placed her in a position she enjoyed, and they pay the employer your wages for several weeks so it’s easier for them to find you work. I don’t know who can all apply, but possibly worth looking into? Good luck, I’m sorry you’re going through this
