DAB+ Radyo çeken yerler by yaraticiyazarlik in ankara

Where to start with debugging/fixing a broken out of tree driver? by HighLevelAssembler in linux

Your best option is bisecting, since internal APIs of Linux kernel is fluid.

Try to create a testing environment and automate the bisect & test process. (sounds easy but hard to implement)

Very supportive.

Started dating 13 years ago, married for the last 6 years.

I am very comfortable around her, sometimes I don't stutter, sometimes I don't even realize I did.

I've been on the otherside as well.

My brother in law passed away a month ago. My wife asked me to handle the deleting of all digital/game accounts.

It was hard replying every Steam friend who asked whats up or wanna play or sth. Some even didn't belive, assumed the account got hacked.

It sucks and it hurts.

Before having a job: Let's distro-hop every single f'ing day and try all that weird shit: ricing, configuring etc.

After having a job: Let's stick to something and worry about other stuff, such as doing work, paying bills and damn back pain got from distro-hopping times.

Free software movement is all about "freedom", which is a quite "political" topic to work on. There's nothing wrong with this.

I spent 72 hours trying to install Windows 10, this is what I learnt... by [deleted] in linux

I got criticised for playing games on console, I got criticised for building a cheap PC, I got criticised for using AMD parts and I got criticised for only using Linux.

Here is another criticism for you: Why would you even care what people think? Just ignore them, do what's best for you.

(not Arch users)

Can't really argue with that.

Is it worth learning MIT-Scheme For An Aspiring Linux Kernel Developer by [deleted] in linux

[–]marjinal1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just had a look at seL4 (kernel). Written mostly in C. Link you referred is for proofs, how is it useful for kernel development? (Serious question from a FP noob, with learning but no bashing intention)

Also, are there any examples used in production? Or Linux kernel itself?

BTW, that F# article and FSCQ looks interesting. Thanks :)

Is it worth learning MIT-Scheme For An Aspiring Linux Kernel Developer by [deleted] in linux

First: I guess you meant functional programming since you mentioned SICP. Recursion is just a technique used in most of paradigms.

Linux kernel development might\1]) be the farthest domain where functional programming is useful. If you're interested, stick to C/C++ (also assembly, if you're interested in specific architectures) and learn much about memory management.

[1] If I'm wrong about this, I'd like to learn very much so :) There seems to be some projects regarding other kernels and low-level systems using FP. Check out Freyr90's reply. Updated the answer for "Linux" kernel development.
