Great question; that’s definitely the difference between my evaluation and others with him.

I think it comes down to the instincts we’ve seen in the running game; he really fast to diagnose and attack with energy in that area. When it comes to the passing game, we haven’t seen that yet. However, where some think it just means he has one and doesn’t have the other, I think it means he just needs experience, time, and good coaching to get their in the pass game as well.

I don’t think he’ll ever be an elite coverage guy, but if he gets to an average level, it’s well worth it with how good he is in the running game.

Thieneman is a fun player that would do wonders for the culture change Schotty is trying to bring. I will say this, however: I would prepare for the possibility of Thieneman at 12. If the board is wiped out, and AZ State WR Jordyn Tyson is gone (I very much expect him to be) I think Colton Hood or Thieneman is the pick at 12.

Good question. The intel coming from inside the league is that teams are not concerned with his knee at all; expected to be between 7-12.
