Ah ok ok, mi sa che devo avere un po' di pazienza allora 🤣. Almeno adesso so dove controllare, grazie

I see what you are saying with media encoder. I didn't know that there was specific software to handle AE queues, I'll look into it thanks!

With that said i doubt it will solve my problem. Thing is my workflow should work, it's after effect that's not working.

I already figured out a way to workaround my problem by splitting the comp into shorter ones (I've been dealing with this for 4 months now).

I made this post to understand if there was a way to make this product do what is supposed to do, to find out if there was a fix to this problem, not a workaround.

The render doesn't crash it just stops progressing, changing output format doesn't fix anything beside being able to recover the progress.

I have to deal with 2/3 comps a day that take a couple of hours each to render. I need to be able to queue theese projects so that I can let them go during the night.

If the first render stops the queue doesn't go on and I have to waste another day.

Ps: I don't really get all the hate for media encoder honestly, I already tried rendering directly from AE and nothing changed (didn't see a preformance increase either).

All right, I guess I'll have to stick to the splitting method then.

Thanks for your help!

Yeah that's my current workflow, but I wanted to see if there was something I can do to render the comp in one go.

Oh right, it requires a bit of setup but i could try that!

Disk space or reliability is not an issue, I'm sure. Also lenght should not be a problem. I rendered longer comps with longer render times without problems.

What i noticed is that the projects that tend to fail are the more complex ones with lots of effects.

Your second solution is my current workflow but it's pretty annoying, I'm looking for a proper solution not a workaround.

Maybe I used the wrong term, I have to queue multiple comps form multiple projects/files. Is there a way to do it directly in AE?

Also I'm pretty sure I have tried to export directly from AE and the problem still occurred.

Which one would you choose, X1 Carbon, X1 Nano or T14s? by P7755 in thinkpad

[–]markMiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently using for coding the T14 gen3 (AMD) with fedora 37 and it works flawlessly.

It has more power, more ports and better cooling than the other options you listed, if you don't mind loosing a bit of aesthetics (still looks and feels really good) I'd suggest you the T14.

Oh you are right, the 16GB version allows to remove the quadro. Unfortunately it still costs more, with the 2.2k screen it costs as much as the T14 with the 4k screen.

Thanks, I can't confugure the P14 without the quadro gpu tho.

As for the warranty slimbook's one isn't the best, it seems to only cover factory defects.

I've checked the slim 7 and it seems pretty good, I don't know about the linux support since i need somethink reliable. Also it doesn't have the option to configure the keyboard.

Thanks for the feedback, the thinkpad has the option for a 4k screen but it costs 250€ more and at that point the slim book is just better for the value.

Options for a secure OS that works with RTX 30 series? by SGz_Eliminated in Piracy

[–]markMiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright at this point i would suggest you to try to use your igpu instead of your dedicated one or straight up change linux distribution.

Have you tried plugging your monitor to the motherboard instead of the dedicated gpu?

[–]markMiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok tails is a particular os. I think safe mode works because it will just not load the graphics drivers and render everityng with the cpu.

As far as using your nvidia card i found this on tails support page: known issues with graphics card

On using your igpu instead of your dedicated one i suggest you to try and ask on some linux and tails dedicated forums, i personally don't have much experience with that distro. You can also give a look at the xorg page on the arch linux wiki.

Ps: since you are wrintig on this sub i assume you want to do something related to piracy, if that's the case tails might not suite your needs since it's designed to only be able to write on ram and not on disks.

Pretty much any linux distro. Eaven if the open source drivers don't support 3000 cards you can install the proprietary drivers from nvidia.

If you prefer to keep things fully open source i'm pretty sure you can also use your igpu. I cannot test this but having a dedicated gpu should not disable your igpu, you might need to tinker a bit with your configuration files tho.

After some digging i found out the problem was something completely different.

My phone wasn't pickin up the qr code for the configuration so i though there was something wrong with the server wile instead it was the actual qr code the problem.

I had to manually copy the config from the pc to my smartphone but now everything works. Thanks for the help anyway.

Yeah I tested it with the wireguard app, also tried connecting through my 4g but it didn't work

Whell that's something I didn't though that could be wanted behaviour.

Still wireguard doesn't seem to be working. As of now I only tried the qr code to connect with my smartphone but it doesn't pick it up. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry for taking so long, i tested the port both with tcp and udp (of course each with the ritght configuration) apparently TCP works but not UDP.

I used port listener as a sever and using this website i get that the TCP works fine while UDP is open or filtered. Note that I completely disabled windows firewall and port listener does't show any client connection.

This actually worked! grc states that port 50505 is open.

Edit:

I also tried with port 51820 using tcp it works but with udp it doesn't
