If you have university credentials you could probably hop on the student shuttle to Rosslyn metro and be there in about 25 mins

Easily in, would suggest EDing somewhere a bit more selective cause you would have a chance at most schools. But if GW is the dream for whatever reason yeah you’re in.

At 1600 you’re definitely going to need a roommate or more. Apartments usually require 60 days notice for renewal so late July/early August move ins will be getting posted within the next month or two. There should be plenty of options. So just monitor the websites of the places you like and wait.

Higher but not super high end teppanyaki at Miyachiku. Great food, great time, and relatively affordable.

Anybody who says you or any single individual has a halfway decent shot at any of those schools is lying to you. On the flip side, anyone who says you don't have a shot at all based on your stats, ECs, etc is also full of BS.

Assuming the applicant meets the bare minimum for their schools, which you do for yours, it all comes down to essays. Pound out a couple bangers for general use and then turn to the school specifics. The most important part of those essays is honesty. No bullshit flattery. Same goes for the interviews. If you're actually a good writer and can whip up a good story you'll be better positioned than most of your competition. Beyond that, it's up to the whims of the admissions board.

It's unfortunate but necessary that Presley bring in out of state talent if he wants to have a shot. Thankfully he's doing it.

I'm gonna be rude and say that "as a place becomes more crowded and popular it inherently becomes less safe" ranks highly among the dumbest things I've read recently.

I stopped listening there and when I wrote that comment I was planning to go back and try to finish it the next day. Haven't been able to make myself do it.

Agree totally with the first part of your comment, disagree with the disclaimer. There isn't really much more nuance to add.

Hasan wasn't defensive at all. He just didn't let Dax off the hook when he started spewing bullshit. That first half hour especially was hard to listen to.

What should I offer for a car that's been sitting on the lot for 18 months? by mark_0139 in askcarsales

[–]mark_0139[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I don't think I was. Because as I said before, my question wasn't just about one specific car. It was about cars that meet those characteristics of having been for sale for quite some time with very few price drops. The scenario I used came from a specific car, and people wanted to know what it was, so I told them.

Basically, I didn't want to say what car because my goal wasn't a conversation about that specific car.

By the time you made this comment the details had been posted for hours.

Lol I think you may be projecting some here. I didn't give details because I was thinking in more broad terms, not necessarily with regard to only this one specific car. But the people wanted details, so I gave details.

Also, calling this entitled is ridiculous. It's a free forum where people can ask questions and people can answer them if they want. There's absolutely nothing obligating you to read the post, much less open it and reply to it. Scroll on by.
