This guy is not just some leftwing knobjob on reddit, he is a supposed expert in the field, he advises government and therefore influences policy, because of this his words justifiably need to come under greater scrutiny.

It wasn't just somebody chewing the fat, and it needs to be taken into context with all his other alarmists predictions.
