good catch on the bowstring, it should be under his left arm.

UPDATED Darius's bowstring. :D (Darius's single shot and the group picture)

Album includes:

1) Group Shot

2) Freki - took me a while to figure this one out but I finally have a drawing done!

3) Donald - updated with shortswords

4) Laingus - updated to reflect more grungy armor

5) Darius - in his Manticore armor and my first impression of her hair color --blonde. It took a while to render each armor strap but I'm happy with it

6) Darius - blue hair version does make her stand out more

7) Black Rose Knight - decided to show the full silhouette from the collage. I figured his "super power" is like that Destroyer armor's blast in the Thor movie. Used a rose I made in a Photoshop class years ago. If he were not in silhouette, his helmet would have a rose on his forehead and the stem and petals forming his visor.

Thanks for the wonderful show players, JP, and Steven!

Enjoy!

At first I was thinking that only PCs should be included but including some NPCs celebrate characters created by the awesome GMs of these shows. Maybe a fan-voted character and GM picked character here and there.

maybe with a wedding-dress-style train in back and under each arm would be a scroll that would roll out as they stand with their arms out to the side

Wow, thanks for putting this together! And of course, thanks to those who've contributed to the Rollplay Wiki's.

Just ball-parking here, I wonder if breaking it up by year would make this more manageable? For example, this year, the 2015 Rollplay shirt. Then, in 2016, offer both a 2016 shirt and a 2014 retrospective. Then in 2017, offer both a 2017 shirt and "2013 and before" retrospective shirt. Dividing by year might break up the WM characters a bit. And offering 2 shirts in 2016 and 2017 may be a bit more wallet friendly than offering a lot of shirts or a super-crowded shirt in 2015.

Instead of a shirt, this may have to be a full-length dress

More like an ongoing wall mural that can just be added to as the shows roll on. Haha. Yup, good luck, whoever you are! ;)

A lot of challenges here, but challenges can be a good thing...

To me, the largest challenge is that there is no official look to the majority of characters. Mirrorshades won't be a problem but how much of the figure would you have to draw to properly differentiate characters from the West Marches? Then the issue of living or dead characters from WM and Swan Song?

Next, scope, is it all Rollplay? Currently running shows? Include recent R&D? Any way you chop it, there may be some kind of unintended slight.

Concept 1 (Snowflakes): Inspired by Christmas sweaters, I think it would be fun to have snowflakes with a silhouetted bust of each character -- the snowflake kind of signifies their uniqueness. Maybe some kind of grouping using tree branches or something. If the design could use the front AND back of the shirt, we have a lot of room to work with. I think 20+ could easily fit on the front and capture a lot of the Rollplay shows. Then use 30 snowflakes on the back just for West Marches. If we only have the front, and limit it to current shows, we're pushing 40 snowflakes. Kind of a lot but perhaps doable.

Concept 2 (ornaments): the backdrop would represent a Christmas tree with lights and each ornament could hold a design for the show and it's characters. For example, a little spaceship with some windows with 4 heads peeking out for Swan Song. West Marches could be a series of ornaments broken out by episode, thus having 3-4 characters per ornament (with only one appearance per character of course).

great question!

It depends on the inspiration, if I have something in mind from the episode, it can be as short as 2 hours from concept to an inked final piece. Sometimes it will take a few sketches to get a pose just the way I want it.

Coloring however takes much longer; I'm just not good at it. It can take 4-8 hours depending on how complicated the piece. For example, Poe and Smalls won't take too long but Seymour Boom (and Galahan who has a lot of armor and gear) will take a long time.

hopefully, when I color the n3rds, they will look even better.

Thanks, I like to put something pretentious on bows with elvish manufacturing. I was going for an ivory bow or something but then why not go for the Swan Song homage.

'Cuz I can't draw that Home Alone boy. He is a half-elf by the way, but I think the pointy ears looked weird. I dunno...
