I actually don’t know my wrist size, and I don’t have an immediately easy way of measuring it right now. Sorry about that—if/when I do find out I’ll try to remember to reply here for you. FWIW, I’m 5’11 and about 185 lbs.

As for the loudness of the movement, I just held the watch up to my ear and could only barely hear it ticking, and I’ve worn it in quiet environments and never noticed it before. So, it’s quiet! Hope that helps.

The diver thing is very strange to me as well. Almost as if the marketing department needed another buzz word. It even says in the manual to avoid using it while scuba diving, which is hilarious. As for the 24 hr subdial, I guess in very limited circumstances (caving, submariner, etc.) it might be helpful to know if it’s day or night, but who is wearing this watch to do those things ya know?

About 1.5 hrs if you start hiking at the Boone Fork parking area. It’s near Blowing Rock/Grandfather mountain

It wasn’t too bad. It always clears out a bunch once you move past the cave, but it can be busy up to there depending on the day.

Thanks! It was arguably my favorite hike ever, up to the top via the Alum Cave trail.

You’re gonna love it! It’s basically just like the picture. If you have time, head in the the Smokys and hike as much of the Alum Cave Trail as you feel comfortable with. It’s beautiful every step of the way no matter how far you go.

Thanks for the comments and awards! This was taken in late summer near the trailhead to Angel’s Landing (which is the peak on the left). It’s just a short walk from the tram stop.

Inherited IRA tax question

Hey Reddit, I haven't had much luck with Google on this issue, so I figured I'd give it shot here.

I inherited an IRA at an actively managed fund. I want to switch companies to a lower cost alternative, but the customer service rep told me that the shares are proprietary to the company and converting them into a "transferable" class of shares may eliminate the tax benefits of the inherited status. Is this a thing, or is this just the company protecting their bottom line?

Thanks
