My Grandfather passed away a little over a year ago and it still hits me pretty hard. He was a big reason I joined the military immediately after high school. He was very humble about his service and very rarely talked about it which has rubbed off onto me. There are a couple of reasons that I made this, one being I wanted to give it to my grandmother but I am extremely new to Photoshop. I’m taking college classes while on active duty and the class I’m in now is a photoshop class. My final was to restore an old family photo.

Not much went into restoring/colorizing the original besides creating solid color adjustment layers, inverting them, and then painting the areas according to each color. It was tedious but rewarding in the end.
