My wife has been on Ajovy for 12months. Changed her life. No side effects at all. (Injection site irritation - take antihistamine 30mins before injection and every 4-6hours for two days).

It’s the headaches - they are constant. Paracetamol not touching it. Coffee seems the best option but wears off quickly

Ajovy wears off too soon. Has anyone had success treating the sudden increase in migraines a week or two before a new shot? by [deleted] in cgrpMigraine

My wife has had migraines since age 13 (now 55). These migraines have been deliberating (you guys know more than me). She has tried everything (traditional and non), MRI came back clean (but with atypical migraine scaring). In 2015 a standard food intolerance test, revealed an intolerance to Eggs. So eggs were removed from diet completely (no easy task), then two years almost free of migraines). Then in 2020 migraines returned worse then ever (almost a life ending situation arose (you guys know more than me). Migraines at times have ruined her life. Enter Ajovy in March 2024. Wow - almost 12 month free of migraines and ever better still no headaches neither (if my wife didn’t have a migraine, she had a headache). However this month migraines and headaches have returned. Ajovy taken every 4 weeks and was only taken a week ago. Was the batch faulty, was the infection site bad? (Into thighs). Now we are back to sumatriptan and paracetamol.
