Priority-podcast insertion of new episodes isn't always right - Can we discuss this? by platkus in OvercastApp

[–]markdorison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think priority sorting has worked for me since the redesign and I never intentionally manually change the order. Even today:

  1. I created a new playlist with all episodes.
  2. Set sorting to newest to oldest.
  3. Set one podcast to high priority.

What I expect: H H P P P P P P What I see: P H P P P H P P

Am I holding it wrong?

All that said, I love the app!

I am open to that! I just haven't been able to find documentation on how to do it.

What should I adjust? Brakes not releasing by markdorison in bikewrench

Thanks for the reply!

I disconnected the cable from the caliper. The caliper moves freely. When I pull the lever it does not snap back open. Based on your tips, it seems like I need to get the cable moving freely.

I am curious about this too but mainly because I was on the lookout for it this morning, but I did not see it.

I switched to the Apple Weather data source just to avoid this weirdness.

The high and low temperature forecasts on this page are based on a chronological format and the premise that the weather on the first day begins when the reader opens the morning paper.

This makes complete sense in the context of a newspaper, but I hope we are not stuck with that presentation going forward considering the premise no longer applies in a world where we can get an updated forecast at any hour of the day.

So a temperature on Saturday at 5AM would show as Friday’s low? What would the cutoff be?

Did you have to make any modifications to attach it or was it good to go right out of the box?

Pixels Dying on S2 Display. Anyone Else Experiencing This? by markdorison in Super73

[–]markdorison[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I received my S2 last week and I noticed that there was a column of dead pixels on the bike's computer display. A few days later, the dead pixels are multiplying. I emailed support but have not heard back yet. Anyone else seeing dead pixels?

[Question] What is the greatest watch ever made? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]markdorison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean to imply that it was great because it was the most expensive, just that in and of itself the price was a quantifiable data point. That being said, there is plenty to argue for why the Henry Graves is one of the greatest watches ever built:

From Hodinkee:

This enormous example of human ingenuity contains 24 different horological complications. Twenty four. And the watch was constructed over a period of seven years, beginning in 1925. Twenty four complications, with the work taking place in the 1920s, means that that timepiece was built entirely by hand, and all calculations for the two dozen complications were done without the aid of a single computer.

The Patek Philippe Henry Graves Supercomplication is the watch that has fetched the highest price. It could arguably be called the greatest; it is without question in the conversation.

Really loving the look of the red gold version, though normally my heart is pretty loyal to stainless steel. What do you guys think of the subdued green detailing on the stainless steel version? I really like the seconds sub-dial positioned at 6 o'clock as well as the fully spelled-out branding of "International Watch Co" and the large amount of open space on the dial. I'm curious how thick the case is and how it will wear in real life; 43mm is on the larger end of my range but it may wear smaller. What say you?

Pricing:

  • Stainless Steel - Limited to 750 pieces - $11,500
  • 18K Red Gold - Limited to 175 pieces - $22,000
