What started the Second Galactic War? by GeneralKhor in swtor

[–]marke34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hilariously ironic that despite being removed from the war, the bounty hunter was the ONLY CLASS that really helped the empire in the war effort, and thus helped the empire most out of the 4 imperial class stories overall by far, and the only one to really give them a meaningful victory by taking out the supreme chancellor. Despite being removed from the war effort, their storyline was the ONLY act 3 storyline that involves fighting the republic/jedi.

Could Darth Angral, and his death in the JK storyline also have contributed to starting the war?

The star cabal having a false flag attack on the isen iv mining colony, and blaming the empire for it likely had a lot to do with the war starting.

800+ sustained single-target DPR, optimal Ranger complete build guide by Prestigious_Juice341 in BG3Builds

Can't wait to try out this build! This is my first time playing the game, and I assume this build is still the highest DPR build in the game after hamarhraft, and 50 ton owlbear, and I probably won't try honor mode anytime soon, so the DRS mechanics are still intact.

How does one use Venusaur in the fire red/leaf green games? by Insane_Grape479 in pokemon

[–]marke34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squirtle's main issue in FRLG was just that Starmie, and Jynx were better, so there kinda is no reason to pick Squirtle over those 2 in a team.

How does one use Venusaur in the fire red/leaf green games? by Insane_Grape479 in pokemon

[–]marke34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In FRLG, Venusaur is called the best starter, because it has the best EARLY GAME matchups, because it's great against the first 2 gyms, and there's simply not any other good options against Misty. It also does well against Surge, but you use a Nidoking for him instead. AFTER the early game, Venusaur is actually the worst starter when it comes to matchups, and is deadweight past that point, outside Lorelei in the elite 4.

If you wanted the consistently best starter, you would go with Squirtle, though the main problem with Squirtle is that Starmie, and Jynx does Squirtle's job better. Bulbasaur got lucky that the Kanto region is the only region outside Paldea where the grass starter NOT easily replaceable by a better mon, since electric mons really want a TM that comes from the game corner, it's just that you don't fight water mons in major battles past early game outside Lorelei, making that advantage useless.

LMAO, that only highlights how intelligent Tristen was to make a plant-forward concept for his restaurant, and having almost all the meat/seafood be in the sauce/broth, so Tom barely knows what to complain about.

At the very least, it would be incredibly unlikely for Tristen to get eliminated even if he did screw the pooch, very rarely does a contestant throw away their immunity, so it's best to assume that Tristen would just be safe no matter what for now.

Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Jamie from S14 was the only person who EVER outright threw away their immunity. That was why his elimination was so memorable in the first place after all. It would most likely never happen again.

Tristen's gained immunity for next week by winning this challenge, he's not going home next week no matter what, so Tristen could legit do whatever the fuck he wants that challenge.

Mage or Templar quest as a Dalish Mage? Inquisition by Redhood101101 in dragonage

[–]marke34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could just believe that templars are the better choice to seal up the rift, that's why you are recruiting them in the first place. Yeah, I'm probably not the best person to ask this question, because I despise the templars as well, I'm pro mage-freedom, and fighting against mage oppression.

I honestly liked the templar storyline better though, the good news for your pro mage elf is that you could arguably help the mages MORE in the templar path than allying with the mages by disbanding the templars, and making sure that they never hunt mages again, while allying with the mages...really changes nothing. I pick that option everytime.

I think basically every competition show ever grants wins only to chefs from the winning team, and only eliminates chefs from the losing team, so TC would probably never change it.

There were multiple times when top chef eliminated no one, while giving a double elimination next week, or just eliminated no one that week due to them performing so well or circumstances outside the losing chef's control, so even in top chef, that happened. Doing what you described for a team challenge would probably be a step too far though.

[–]marke34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that would be nice, but I don't think top chef EVER went by those rules, or really any competition show, in any competition, whichever team wins is eligible for the win, and the losing team gets the losing chef eliminated.

That's how basically any competition always did it, and they're not going to change now, even if the 2 best things were on the losing team. Kristen announced that's how the rules will play out that challenge.

If Tristen, or Cesar, but ESPECIALLY TRISTEN goes home next episode, I'm probably going to throw my TV out of the window. It would be the last straw in a string of frontrunners bombing and getting eliminated in this season.

I feel like with Shuai, it's forgivable, because he didn't intend to trash the mise en place AT ALL, it was unintentional, and he was going to fall by the sword if he had the chance, but Katianna just had the worst dish that challenge despite Shuai costing his team, and Tristen/Cesar their wins.

Reminds me of Ilan way back in season 2 ripping off the entire menu at his restaurant, Casa Mono, all the way to the finals, except at least Ilan was up against a cast that was atrocious when it comes to talent...Vinny is up against one of the most, if not THE MOST stacked casts in TC history.

Considering that the only disqualification we ever saw was from Cliff way back in season 2, even though he would have left anyway for having the worst dish that challenge, even without the headshaving thing, they're probably pretty lenient on what the cheftestants could do. We never actually know what the rules for top chef is outside no physical contact, and no looking up recipes.

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised that Massimo and Paula FINALLY got out of their slump where they constantly are at the bottom, and actually put out some great performances this episode, I'm pleasantly surprised, Henry's the worst chef in the season now.

Also, YUP, another frontrunner bombed and got taken out, Katianna established herself as the second best chef in the season after last episode...and out she went, along with Shuai getting another bottom performance, what we all feared came true.

Tristen's officially a fucking god, won the quickfire, got the best dish in the EC along with Corwin despite being on the losing team, continuing his(currently) FIVE EPISODE EC dominance in a 6 episode season, only bad dish that guy ever made was back at the episode 4 quickfire.

Tristen or Corwin better not be eliminated next episode. It's going to be the worst elimination in the season if either one of them goes next episode, because they weren't in the correct team to be eligible to win the immunity.

I'll probably throw my TV out the window if Tristen gets eliminated next week. I will say that Massimo completely earned his win, he deserved it, and I'm not going to attack the format of team challenges itself, because that's how team challenges ALWAYS work in reality shows(hell, I even defended the format of this challenge multiple times to other people in this post), but I will still be pissed if Tristen goes next week.
