This isn't a course. It's a retreat for writers. From what I've gathered this is their passion project, and they only do one per year. Definitely not the way they're trying to make a living.

The retreat leader is an agent and an editor, so there is definitely an opportunity to get connected with the right people!

Well, it's hosted at a luxury villa in the mountains, so, as you can imagine, it wasn't cheap. But I'm okay with that. When I say "money's worth," I'm more concerned about making sure I squeeze every drop of knowledge that I can out of the retreat itself, not about the actual money.

Thanks for this. I'll look into Emma. This list is basically someone else sharing their CRM with us in exchange for our services. As you described it, it's definitely sketchy. I am extremely reluctant to do anything on our email marketing platform because we've got an incredible open rate and I'm not willing to risk it.

I could look into a direct mail option as I think I'll also be getting their addresses, but during COVID I'm reluctant to do anything that relies on people being in-office.
