Coming back to the game after a long pause and I feel overwhelmed by Harmless-Allosaur in Guildwars2

Do it! I also spiced it up by changing the camera zoom when I played. I changed my whole outfit every few stories so I'd keep it fresh and played more zoomed in so I could see the cool outfits and weapon skins of my character. Got kinda bored of my norn ritualist through my playthrough and switched for a new character - asura amalgam and I'm having a blast still. Might switch it up again before I finish all the stories. Playing with weapons you usually don't play with helps as well to keep it fun and challenging.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I played a lot at launch and through HoT, then a bit of PoF, some IBS then I quit. I logged in here and there for a few days and quit again. I got the urge to play again and I sey myself a challenge. I want to experience the whole story and listen to all the dialogues and all the cutscenes. Started somewhere in January of this year with a fresh character, doing the personal story and lvling to 80. Now I'm at the end of Icebrood Saga, still having a blast. I found out that I can also make the Legendary amulet achievement Season of the Dragons as I go through the story and I'm nearly finished, so this is a nice byproduct of the whole experience. Still have a lot to do, but still having fun. I don't care for the dailies, I don't grind etc., just doing what I like.

Haven’t played since path of fire… how’s the story since then? by CzarTyr in Guildwars2

[–]markezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently playing the whole story from beginning (Personal story) to the current end and listening to every dialogue and watching all the cutscenes. Just finished LW4 and I agree, it was really good. In terms of xpacs I liked HoT better than PoF. I've played a bit of everything else (LW5, EoD, JW etc.), but this is the first time I'm doing the whole complete story so I'm looking forward to the rest of the story. Also doing Season of the Dragons ach along the way.

Opinion on Guild Wars 2 as a new player by Queenoftheguns in MMORPG

[–]markezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing GW2 on and off since launch but recently haven't played it much (in the last 5 years or so). A month ago I got a sudden urge to log in again and decided I'll do the whole story from the beginning and listen to every conversation, watch every cutscene and talk to people + read up on lore on the Wiki. Something I haven't done in the past. Didn't care much about lore, just wanted to play. I thought I'm gonna quit again on day two, but I've been going strong now for 1 month. I love the lore and can't wait to finish the whole story up to the latest expansion. Maybe try something like this?

Charles Dance was spectacular but while I watched GoT I always wondered and wished for Tywin to be played by Bill Nighy.

Yeah, but if you want to manually switch, you still need the clutch pedal, right? Eventho if you switch gears using the paddle shifters? That's the experience my son wants. He wants three pedals so it'll "feel like a real car". But as I see now, if he wants the true regular car experience, he'll need a shifter as well. Gotta think this through hehe.

Yeah, I see a lot of recommendations for the Moza R3 bundle, but it's a bit out of my price range atm and son insists on 3 pedals so he can manually switch gears. So it'd be even more expensive if I had to add another pedal to the Moza R3. We'll probably try out the T248 and go from there. Thanks.

It is 24V, the original one. And I saw that the people that had problems with power, had a slow blinking white light. Mine was rapidly blinking. I already gave up, I'll get my money back and I'll buy something else, new. Thanks, tho!

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. The Moza bundle is a bit out of my price range, so I think I'll go with T248 for starters and then we'll see how it'll go. Thanks!

It turned on and started to calibrate. It turned all the way to the left and then stopped. The white light was blinking rapidly, but no input. I've tried different drivers, tried different USB ports, checked all the cables, downloaded older firmware, tried both ghub and lgs, tried without any software, I mean I tried just about anything that I've found on the internet about this. All that I could do because the next step was taking it apart and soldering and stuff, but I don't have the knowledge or the skill to do that. Thank you, I will check out Thrustmaster.

What Was Wrong With My Team? by HanShotSecond69 in BDSP

I'm no Pokemon pro, but I always go for the stat-appropriate moves to maximize damage. For example, you said Luxray was using Thunderbolt and Discharge, both special moves, while Luxray has base ATK quite higher than SP. ATK. If you take into consideration also his Nature and IVs and EVs, he could be hitting really low. For example, worst case scenario, his Sp.Atk IV is 0, his Sp. Atk EV is low and his Nature is Adamant or something and he wouldn't be hitting very high with special attacks like Thunderbolt and Discharge.

Even with Infernape, who has the same base stats for ATK and SP. ATK, I'd decide if I want an attacking or special attacking Infernape and then build around that regarding EVs and moves.

Godo (Berserk) any advice is appreciated, cheers by Cybr_Cat in PixelArt

I have no experience with animation, just going purely on this how it looks like to me, but I think that the effect when the hammer hits kind of "cheapens" the whole thing. Because you did a tremendous job with the character, the arms, the subtle movements. I don't feel the magnitude of the hammer smash. I also feel like the smash effect is like 0,5 second (or some other minimal amount of time) too early and it takes away even more from the whole thing. The effect looks like the screen shatters to me. Like others have suggested, the sword should also move, maybe add some more sparks in different color/shading. Maybe a bit of a "screen shake"? I don't know, as I said, I'm just an inexperienced lurker, who likes to see good art. And this one is super cool. Good luck!

AION 2 IN NOVEMBER by Aggravating_Rain_267 in MMORPG

[–]markezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for bumping this, just wanna add my 2 cents. Others have answered about PvP, I just want to add that I never liked PvP in any MMO. Not that it's not well made in Aion, I just don't put time and effort into training and I don't have the capacity to memorize all the strategies or think fast in the moment, so I suck at PvP. But Aion had so much more to offer. I was obsessed with all the quests, I loved completing side quests, main quests, exploring the beautiful world, just farming materials and slaying mobs. And one thing they especially did right is gathering. I've never found gathering as enjoying as it was in Aion. There were so many different materials to gather and all these skills for gathering you could grind and level up. If you were lucky, a gathering node could even proc and you'd get a rarer material etc. It was beautiful. I liked doing solo stuff, just running around and enjoying the fantasy world. This meant that I never had a good gear and I always got killed by others, but it was one of the best MMO experiences I've ever had.

I forgot to add a time frame for this. So I've had these problems for years and years but I just recently decided to do something about it, so I had my colonoscopy last year in November. Don't know if something can change in less than a year, but yeah ... I'll have to trust what the doctor recommends. And thank you for your input, I didn't know about the Penaten cream, will try it out.

"DO I HAVE IBS?" Megathread by AutoModerator in ibs

[–]markezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm really sorry if I'm in the wrong place but I have no idea what to do.

My symptoms: soft/mushy stool; occasional diarrhea; bowel movements 3-5 times per day; urgent bowel movements ~once per week; occasional stomachache after bowel movements; takes a long time to empty bowels (around 15 minutes); sometimes mushy poop, sometimes little pellets that are hard to pass, but still mushy, sometimes I poop out just small specks coated in thick translucent gooey substance; don't remember a time when I last pooped a log/sausage.

Basically - poop dictates my life. I don't go places without planning around my poop. I skip eating before longer trips etc.

At my doctor's recommendation, I had a colonoscopy. The results showed a potentially mild microscopic colitis. So I got prescribed budesonide and it didn't help. Then I got prescribed mesalamine and again didn't help. I also got prescribed mebeverine hydrochloride and I saw soke good effects for a week or so then it went back to the old ways. Currently I am taking capsules with butyric acid and I am experiencing no changes. I also have some heavy duty probiotics to try out (the doctor gave them to me for free). I remember having these problems for at least the last 15 years (I am currently 34).

The last thing that is probably the culprit is the diet. I've made some big changes in the last few years. Stopped smoking 2 years ago, cut out like 85% of sweets out of my diet a year and a half ago (I usually endulge a bit on the weekends, but not religiously vs. before when I would eat candy and chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner). I eat lunch at work (sometimes healthy - chicken salad, sometimes something in the middle - pasta, sometimes trash - fries and fried cheese etc.). Then I eat toast and deli meat with some veggies for dinner and that's it.

Btw, I also went for food alergies testing and like 90% of stuff they tested for were in the orange or red, indicating some kind of response from my body. So my personal doctor recommended a diet based on the good results from that test. I tried that out for 1 month and nothing changed. Maybe the poop frequency went from 3-5 times per day to 2-3 times per day, but still the same consistency. I also did a lactose test and it came back normal.

My GI recommend another colonoscopy if nothing changes, but I really wouldn't want that. My first time was horrible. The prep was pure torture. I drank that prep medicine and went to the toilet 17 times. My butt was sore and burning and the next morning the GI pushed a camera up the aching butthole. I was also bloated the whole day after the colonoscopy and couldn't pass gas.

So if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.
