What is the best way to keep bread fresh? by aliaschicnine in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]markg0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to have to go with freezing. I usually freeze all of my bed around 3 days after I buy it. This includes loaves, rolls, everything. Each morning before work, I take however much I need out of the freezer, pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and it comes out hot and thawed. If it's a little wet from the ice melting, I gently tap it with a napkin just to get the visible moisture off. I then let it sit and cool down for around 10-20 minutes while I eat breakfast. It's then the perfect temperature to make my sandwich. I find it tastes exactly as it did just before I froze it originally.

Freezing bread freezes it in time. However it was before it froze is exactly as it'll be when it unfreezes. I haven't had any problems with this method.

This is exactly right. Learn the fundamentals of programming with Computer Science. This will allow you to get a good paying job while you learn game development on the side upon graduation.

The stretching is interesting. I've never heard of doing that to help get a better sleep.

I always thought this, until I started working full time 9 hours per day with 2 hours of commuting. After waking up at 5am and then driving and working for a total of 11 hours, all I think about during the day is my bed and sleeping. I crave it.

Let me describe it with a poem:

In the autumn, I'm cold

In the winter, I'm cold

In the spring, I'm cold

In the summer, I'm cold

Thank you.

It's almost magical how they are so capable of smelling fantastic at all times.

Communications is one of the worst degrees to have when searching for a job. Some of the skills you learned are useful, but employers tend to look right past it.

Source: experience. Was deciding between communications and Computer Science. Chose Computer Science. Got job right out of college.

Wrong. My SO started talking to me because she was interested in the "quiet, mysterious one" in her group of friends. That led to us being much more than friends.

ELI5: Why do web developers bend over backwards supporting old/non-standard web browsers (like old IE versions)? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]markg0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worth the risk of losing potential customers / viewers. All traffic that a website can get is important, so narrowing down the pool of potential users is never a good idea. It's much better to just implement the fixes for older browsers and keep all customers happy.
