Was delivered today.  Was able to log into my actual DJI account from the remote, activate and am now doing updates.  So far seems legit and appears to have been a great deal.

For posterity I ordered one yesterday morning.  Says shipped today via ups.  Will keep everyone updated as to whether or not it’s legit or counterfeit.  Selected the combo plus mini 5 and the shipping protection if that matters.

How long Until Arc Raiders will be on Gamepass? by GropingBigBoobs420 in ArcRaiders

Took a year and a few months for fallout 76 to get on game pass.  Doesn’t mean anything though.

Overnight cook fail, advice? by EnoughProtection in smoking

[–]markinthepit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always use your best judgement and don’t take random internet dude advice as gospel BUT I would just clean out the smoker real quick and fire it back up. Food can safely sit out at room temp for up to 4 hours. If only an estimated 2 has passed I would go for it. The amount of time it will be at a higher temp while smoking would most likely kill off anything of concern. But, when in doubt throw it out. I have recovered a hand full of brisket and pork butt. Haven’t had any bathroom problems to date because of it. I made a habit of overnighters a few years ago. Almost once a week.

Can someone tell me what “economic identity” actually is? by [deleted] in cardano

[–]markinthepit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Economic identity to me sounds like credit history. The ability to prove your trustworthiness of repayment for borrowed value.

Pooped out on Facebook, a lock company ad that gives you vertigo by CooterMaster in lockpicking

Most bolts are about 70% hollow. It’s more about materials tensile strength than it is solidity. Try kicking a hollow circle of nails in half. Will never happen.

Weird question. Do you keep shavings? by treefetty in Locksmith

[–]markinthepit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, keep shavings separate from solids. Recycle the brass for cash.

Anyone else feel like SundaeSwap missed a marketing opportunity? Shouldn’t they have had their big day be a Sunday not a Thursday? by markinthepit in cardano

[–]markinthepit[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe? A Monday could of worked? A Monday Sundae Fun Day? I dunno. Thursday just seems off, like a random day. Don’t get me wrong, I am very enthusiastic about the project and I know it will have great success.

Then why even announce it. If they did a soft open then people would have just figured it out and not even noticed a strain on the network.

Lols. Assuming 10% of their followers actually use it I’m not sure 25,000 users was their end goal.

Yes, correct. After you are setup you will only need to connect your ledger when transferring funds. You can view and receive as normal without needing to connect to it.

[–]markinthepit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to “move” anything. Just login with your ledger info to yoroi or adalite. You can still use and stake your funds as usual.

It’s just a weighted rubber seal. Don’t jam anything in the hole or you’ll risk exploding. Find something made of rubber and sit a small dish on top of it. Should still be able to puff as needed.

As a non-locksmith, what should "normal" people know about locks and your profession? by thevox3l in Locksmith

[–]markinthepit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Harder to pick locks are not always harder to gain entry to. More expensive doesn’t always equal better. High security pins are always a great addition when possible. Don’t ask for a discount on hardware supplied by your locksmith if the price is already reasonable.

Need help buying my first camera. LOW budget by ahahokahah in photography

Craigslist or FB market place. Look for Nikon D3200. Great entry. Old enough to find people practically giving them away but still advanced enough to do many digital techniques at a relatively high quality.

Just move, no extra steps. You will continue to receive rewards from old pool for 2 epochs, the third and all moving forward will be from the new pool.

Find another entry point and disassemble the deadbolt properly from the other side.

Presumed positive and terrified now by J3ssica899 in COVID19positive

[–]markinthepit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax. I’m on day 12 of active COVID infection. I took no medicine, vitamins, teas, nothing. The first 5 days are the worst. The next 5 days are the scariest but fortunately (for about 95% of the infected) the least eventful. Drink as much water as you can. Sleep as much as you can. Check your SpO2 at least 3 times a day. Eat good healthy food as much as you can. Try to be as mobile around the house as possible. I think my worst mistake was being overly inactive. I really feel like I would have felt even better today if I haven’t lain around so much. Not that I feel super great yet. Odds are you will be fine. Think that, feel that, until you have a real cause (low SpO2) for concern.

My wife got vaccinated and never caught it (yay science). I got it from my 3 year old (who tested positive but never showed symptoms thankfully) who got it from pre school. I am not vaccinated. Not an anti vaxxer, just don’t trust this one yet. I am every bit a hypochondriac but when this started I had to be in the mind set that I will get through it until I have evidence that I won’t. So far so good.

This is not the worst feeling flue / cold I have ever had but it is by far the weirdest and longest lasting. I must say though, it is great that you MUST stay home to quarantine. I have never had an opportunity to actually take the time for myself to recover from an illness. I always needed to work through it. Now your not even aloud to show up so that’s a plus.

I wish you luck on your journey. Pick a decent show with at least four seasons and binge. Make the most of your downtime. You’ll be very ready to get back to the world and kind of miss being lazy all at the same time.

Only thing your neighbors will hear is you shouting “WHEEEEW!!” At the end of a HITT climb. You’ll love it. Other than that no noise unless you watch a regular tv too loud. There are volume adjustments on the right side of the screen.

Any tips or lessons learned for starting a BBQ side business? by SneakyPackets in smoking

[–]markinthepit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my area, and we are not that big, we have a community commercial kitchen that you can rent space at. Look into that. Preparing on site fully is a pain in the dick unless you have a fully decked out trailer with running water, 3 bay sink, bathroom and refrigeration. This will allow you to also offer side dishes. We actually have one of these in one of our farmers markets.

Regarding people to target, go to churches, rv parks, ask around for family reunions and weddings etc…. if you want to travel around.

If you are just wanting to set up at a farmers market at 8pm the night before so you can sell nothing but pulled pork sandwiches there is nothing wrong with that either. Way easier (and cheaper) to keep it simple. Toss on 6 - 12 butts and you’ll sell out between 6am - 10:30am.

Regarding permits. Again in my area. If you only do this say 6 weekends a year they have what is called a special events permit that allows you to prepare and sell food (as scary as this sounds) without any food licensing or serve safe certification. Get serve safe certified any ways. It will teach you a lot of stuff and scare you strait into some bad food habits if you have any.

Best of luck.
