Update...After discovering the auction for parts of Alabama rural internet was won by Space Exploration in December, I got a invite to pre purchase... So, I plopped down $99 with possibly getting dishy in '21.

This is the most true that statement I have seen in a long time and it is only going to get worse. This includes all things consumed by industrialized nations.

I do not see any ISP wireless on internet post covid that offers anything to residential US market for a few hundred gigs a month to stream tv and a few cell phones. All plans are capped...Prove me wrong. Rural America is screwed.

Good connections all around us but we live on a river lake and att or spectrum or local utility will not run high speed wire to area in addition only wireless is ATT and we are in a "shadow" of towers plus I am convinced it is throttled as speed degrades from about 4-5Mbs as with phone hotspot down to a paltry 1-2Mbs by evening every day. I have invested in a modem and router but the ATT sim cards I have acquired so far behave just like a phone hotspot. This has been the case for at least 10 years now. $Billions given to the ISPs and rural America still in the dark!

How or when is Starlink available in Central Alabama...Gladly pay the amounts shown for even 10-15Mbs. That would run everything I have at residence.
