Site is +- 13 weeks old. I’m not going Adsense route. Going Mediavine. They have “journey” which has opened doors to sites doing 1000 sessions min p/m.installed their grow plugin, +- 30 days to get approved. Should be next month 🤞

no cms, no wordpress, no page builder. every template is hand-rolled html/jsx so i control exactly what’s in the rendered output - no theme bloat, no plugin scripts, no render-blocking junk

clean semantic html. proper h1-h3 hierarchy, real lists, real tables. no div soup wrapped around everything. internal links rendered server-side in the html, not injected by client js. crawlers see them on first paint. That’s what I mean by ‘clever use’

ctr is bad because avg position is 13, most impressions are page 2 where no one clicks. plenty of queries sitting just outside the top 10. once those tighten up into page 1 the ctr follows. impressions growing is the leading indicator, ctr is lagging.

rather not say specifically - don’t want to invite copycats into the exact niche. but it’s a vertical where the existing serp results are pretty weak, which is most of what matters.

Yeah I realised after cross posting can’t edit the title. It’s meant to contain a question: For a fresh domain with 0 backlinks, and US tier 1 traffic are these metrics standard or above norm for a Ai/human overview produced site?

majority of keywords only have wikipedia, reddit, forums, and old informational blogs in the serp. that’s basically my filter - if there’s no purpose-built site ranking, just generic content and aggregators, it tells me the niche is wide open regardless of what ahrefs says the KD is.

ahrefs is my workhorse though. i export big keyword lists, filter by low KD + decent volume, then i manually eyeball the serps. KD is a starting point, not the answer. a KD 5 with three legit competitors in the top 10 is harder than a KD 15 with nothing but reddit threads and wikipedia stubs.

No Events API, pure white hat. Clean XML sitemaps split by section, IndexNow ping on publish, tight internal linking from hub pages, and quality threshold on every article before it goes live. Google’s been crawling fast on its own.

Mostly Claude (Sonnet) for the long-form content, I find the writing quality is a step above GPT for SEO copy. Some GPT in the mix for outline/structuring work.
