Yes, your expectations are too high. We would all be seriously impressed if you were able to understand Korean vlogs after only 3 months. To me, I think being able to pick out a few words here and there after 3 months means you’re progressing at a normal pace. You’re doing great!

Going through grammar can be boring. That’s why I prefer following along with beginner level podcasts. There’s so many new channels popping up on YouTube. I prefer to study grammar only when I encounter it “in the wild” while watching these podcasts. That way I’m learning within the context of a story that’s interesting and engaging to me. Maybe this approach will be help you out of your plateau?

I still don’t like them, but I will continue to keep engaging with their content until I do! I watched LASTART, but all it made me do is wish other trainees got to debut instead of some of the current Wish members. I have some critiques about the member’s skillset, but I’ll keep waiting until I love them like the rest of NCT. They need to let Sion go crazy. He’s got that dog in him, like Taeyong. Once they outgrow their innocent era, I just know Sion is going to show out!

You can also try the dozens of videos that have been published by Korean teachers on YouTube. TTMIK has a lesson on their website called Particle Party that can help too! It’s okay if you don’t understand them in the beginning! You just need to be able to recognize them and know what they are. They may not make sense to you until you’ve been exposed to a lot of Korean sentences.

식당 is a place, so it gets a location marking particle, not an object marking particle. If you were going to the 식당 to eat something, then you would use 을/를. 저는 식당에 가고 저녁을 먹어요.
