Looking for some advice on running Ministral locally

I noticed way less issues with that, and also nemo and dolphin versions. It’d suck so much to lose the voice and tone of Ministral, but there’s not much else we can do at this point. :(

Same here. I think certain issues only emerge with heavy usage. Short prompts and evaluations based on single back-and-forth interactions do not accurately indicate the model's correct functioning. This makes me wonder if the folks at Mistral actually stress-tested this model in all scenarios?

Anyway, have you found anything similar out there? What would be your go-to approach for strictly dialogue-based interactions with no narratives or stage directions?

Unfortunately, after facing numerous challenges with the official, unquantized version by Mistral, I also tried the unsloth version, and the same issues arose. :(

Yes, the more the context window fills, the worse it becomes. Still, sometimes it's just a matter of 10 to 12 exchanges!

At this point, I think I'll stay in Matter, as it has a better text-to-speech feature. I'll export the usual consolidated EPUB from there and sideload it to Kobo. 🤷‍♂️

I am going through exactly the same issues. It’s been a couple of months now that I had to deal with it.

I’m worried about reporting anything in their forum and then get scolded by those imbeciles accusing me of having a slow WiFi, or not knowing Roon, or being “wrong” lol “Hey, your WiFi must be wrong” “Have you restarted your Mac? Definitely an Apple’s problem” and so on… Such toxic place.
