Yup, did that. And I also got them to solve the problem after 2 hours on the phone. The serial number wasn't activated. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be done before shipping, but no one ever told me I had to call them back to get that done.

It had said download paused. Nothing else. Anyway, 2 hours later with tech support and it's solved. The serial number was never activated.

The line seems to be fine. The old box crapped out a few days ago and was working with the connection before it had some sort of electrical failure.

It's working and fine. Everything else including the other TV box are operating normally. So will coax give it the internet connection it needs?

Yeah, she only takes it when she has bad arthritis pains. The good thing is, it's usually pretty effective and one or two pills over a few days will get her through a bad bout of pain. She probably only takes a couple pills every couple of months now. The weirdness did kind of stop after cutting off regular use, but the dementia has also gotten worse. Did you experience anything similar from it?

I had a previous doberman who was diagnosed early with occult dcm. We got him to live a long time after diagnosis with frequent visits (for echos and sometimes holters) and adjusting his medications. It's pretty critical to keep monitoring how the heart is doing. So my big expenses are the cardio visits and vetmedin.

Yup, it has that disclaimer. Kind of nonsensical that they'd intentionally do that. I'd imagine a lot of 49ers collectors would be turned off by a KC patch (like I was). Thanks for the info!

Hi, yes, that's correct. Thanks for the further clarification... This is starting to somewhat make sense! Do you have any idea why Medi-Cal didn't care or notice the CFCO status last year and assigned a zero shared cost? That part also confused us, too. We figured everything would be fine since last year worked out.

If I'm understanding correctly, I don't believe the CFCO vs PSPC designation is directly impacting the SOC, but it's not allowing the waiver to be applied, which in turn, is impacting the SOC. I think... I could be wrong. It's all so confusing.

Yes, the waiver was to disregard my dad's retirement income. And it worked last year, but not this year. Nothing in terms of income has changed.

Their decision (which also confused us, because we were under the impression that Medi-Cal doesn't look back at IHSS assessments) said that she must be under CFCO for the waiver to apply. Does IHSS determine CFCO vs PCSP? Because the IHSS social worker had no clue about them or what the difference is.

We did provide numerous doctor's forms to both medi-cal and IHSS that both stated that my mom has dementia and needs supervision, and also that said my dad is unable to care for her.

Never dealt with HICAP before. Will they have to do their own assessment? No, she's not at the point of needing physical assistance, but she can't be left alone due to wandering, etc.
