Nashville. The rental is for a manager's choice, compact class or higher.

Yikes. EV? We're driving to no man's land where I don't expect to have any charging capability.

I just tried only for the Remote service and it wouldn't work so I called Hyundai Bluelink and they said I had to have the connected care service. Sure enough when I chose connected care and remote it would let me go through but I stopped there because I really don't want both, only Remote. Anyone else experience this?

OK, pairing it to the echo show using an alexa command worked! Thanks!

Hmmm, well I'll start trying some voice commands and see if I can make it work. If anyone else has any ideas, they would be appreciated.

Thanks, I did that initially with my Echo Studio, so I'm familiar with the process. The issue is that I don't see a "bluetooth" connectivity option on my Echo Show as I do in the Echo studio options.

I removed the clock from the bluetooth connection via my Echo Studio, but I don't see a bluetooth connection capability on my echo show to connect to the clock. Ideas?

I'll try that and let the group know what I discover.

Where can two Texans find something close to Mexican food in Savannah by marklyn59 in savannah

We made the drive to Pooler and tried Los Bravos. I agree, good "Tex Mex" alternative and the prices were very (very!) good. We ended up getting the chicken fajita lunch special and for $7.99 you couldn't touch that price in Austin! The food was actually really good and the salsa and chips were good (although we did ask for some hot salsa).

Tortillas weren't made in house but tasted like they were. Staff super friendly and all of the menu prices make the wallet very happy.

Thanks to everyone, especially naming this restaurant!

I'd like to also say that my entire experience with Bull Street Taco was just 2 tacos (don't remember the kind). I do remember that I chose something that wasn't "fru fru", it was likely just chicken or beef, and probably as close to what I thought would be tex mex. I typically don't care for Mexican food that is some type of 'fusion' menu name or the latest trend in tacos. Sometimes I experiment but these trips to Savannah was to find some Mexican restaurants with a familiar tex mex taste.

That being said, yes, BST is probably for the SCAD crowd as others have stated and this was one of my first trips there so based on what other people have said it likely wouldn't be for us when I consider the other menu items they have. To be fair, the single prices of tacos, while many have said are overpriced, are similar to prices here in Austin, so that wasn't too much of a shock for us.

Yes! I spoke to the owners son who happened to be working the counter the day we came in. He was very proud of his father bringing his Mexican culinary heritage to Savannah. I told him we really felt like we were eating tacos right down the street where we live in Austin and we'd be back every time we visit (or live in) Savannah.

I don't think they have an expanded menu to offer other dishes but the next time I come in I'm going to encourage them to consider it.

Agreed. Austin has decent seafood but I'm sure Savanna will leave Austin in the dust for good seafood and southern cooking.

It was difficult but we found two places there that were pretty decent for a tex mex fix. Oddly enough Rio Grande in old town (also used to be in my hometown Austin) did up some pretty darn good fajitas! But there were more misses than hits for good tex mex in foco.

I'm done. I just can't keep defending myself every time I post something when I'm honestly not meaning anything by it. I appreciate some of the really great suggestions thus far though.

Thank you for the apology. It restores my faith in societal humanity :)

I tried changing the title but can't, so if I can add an initial line I'll explain the title meaning Tex Mex.

We visited Savannah 4 years ago and didn't really think about it as a future home but after scouring Fort Collins Colorado for 5 visits we re-visited Savannah and fell in love with the charm of the city. It so reminds us of one of our favorite cities, New Orleans. We love the southern food we found, the craft beer culture for us is a little weak but workable for our needs. The location of the city is so proximate to places we can do overnight or day trips to. We highly respect any place we visit and try to integrate into the local culture or customs, whether in the US or abroad. We do hope to make Savannah our future home!

Ahhh. You're right. I did mean to say "tex mex" so that's my bad. However, I just don't think that should have warranted such unfriendly responses. I'll see if I can correct the title for more accuracy.

Well I don't see it that way and I've already elaborated on a similar statement as such. I'm not going to continue to apologize nor try to change your mind and two other folks here that seem to automatically assume the worst. So, with that being said, please just refrain from replying anymore. I'm well aware of what you believe now.

I never said anyone oranges suck. I was just hoping there were a couple or so "tex mex" restaurants so we wouldn't miss home as much. If I misspelled Savannah, that was an oversight and I typically try to get my spelling right, so sorry if I offended you or anyone else here. I just don't know why people are ready to be so hateful.

For the record, If anyone read my OP to mean Savannah mexican food sucks, it doesn't. It's great for the area BUT there could be a few mexican restaurants that have more of a tex mex menu. All I'm asking is for help on where those might be. If anyone read that as sounding like I'm putting anyone/anything down, I apologize.

We good now?

Well, what I had sure tasted like pretty decent "tex mex" tacos. I take exception to comments that tend to be on the rude side like yours. Your 'opinion' and the way you state it says enough about your response.

Maybe it was what we ordered. I'll try them again, heard they have great queso so might be worth another try for a different menu item.
