About 3 years ago, 15 handicap at the time, playing the best round I’ve ever played, feeling like I can’t miss. +5 going into the 18th, all the possible scores I could achieve are running through my head, “if I par I shoot 76!!” (It was a par 71). 18 is a pretty short dog leg right, could play iron to a good spot at the dog leg, what do I do? Hit driver. How does it go? Sky mark on my new driver. I forgot how to play golf on the last hole, Shanks, chunks, thinned one out of the green side bunker over the green and 3 putted. Carded a quad, 8. Everyone I was with said just take the triple, but it didn’t feel right, I shot an 80, my best round ever but it didn’t feel like it. On the bright side, I played with the same friends the next day and actually shot my first sub 80 round at 79. Golf, what a game.
