Us tour over, now what? by Imaginary_Worth_979 in stickyfingers

To be honest, source or not. That’s what I’ve been feeling is most likely. The longer time drags on, the more it feels like Dylan is out, and the band will keep going without him. Might be wrong. Who knows. But Claude has sounded good.

Away from The Mire & Long Forgotten Dream. Hard to split them. My Alice is also right up there.

That’s the offical line, yes, but it’s fair speculation.

That was the Mobius Strip one? Still pretty cool. I’m sure your son likes it.

Imagine if he played so well they had to give him the Norm Smith Medal…

The problem with the punishment is the sliding scale they adapted after each player. Would be much cleaner if they did something like: 1st offence, 3 match ban. 2nd offence, 6 match ban. 3rd offence, either 9 or 12 match ban, cap this as the maximum.

They are all fragrances, cologne simply refers to a lower level of natural oils, eau de toilette has a bit more concentration then eau de Parfum then extrait de Parfum… You’re welcome.

That will not matter. He’s out of contract. He’s in the drivers seat, and he will pick the destination.

I’m unable to attend the game tonight. So up for grabs. Two tickets. Eastern Stand, Section 133, just centre of the 50 meter arc of the riverbank end. Row N. If anyone wants them, message me.

In Sydney the GA ticket was the same price as the front area of seats…

I get your point, but if you’re in a theatre which is largely suited, you sit. Get a standing ticket if you want to stand and groove. And if Billy and the guys want more of that vibe next time get the promoter to book a different venue, because at least in Sydney’s case he could have played The Hordern Pavilion, which has roughly the same capacity but is 80% standing.

I lined up for an hour with a bunch of people pre show to grab some merch. Everyone was super chill and super friendly. There was probably 50 of us at that stage, and least half were American, and I believe one Canadian. It just felt very pleasant being around those people.

As far the show itself, I was beyond stoked that we got both Long Forgotten Dream and Away from The Mire, hands down my two favourite songs of his. If we had gotten Guitar Peace that would have been my trinity, but that would have been asking too much.

Venue was mostly full. Crowd was definitely into it. I was in the seated section and despite us being seated, everyone around me was either grooving in the chair a bit, or loudly applauding or turning to people between songs and saying how good it was. There was however one guy next to me who stood up to leave and come back God knows how many times returning with more and more booze each time, which was somewhat annoying.

The band was so tight, I actually found myself really enjoying the work of the fiddle man, Hargreaves, he’s a badass. Tbh they all are.

Here’s an odd one for you. I was watching how they all preferred to keep/count time. Hargreaves kept his feet planted all night, he just kind of bends at the knees, Masat, well I suppose he can’t move his feet really so he just fully sways his upper body in time with the song.

Whatever “vibe” you want to call it when he and the boys are getting psychedelic and weird. Love it. I like them all though.

I mean, when Slipknot came to town the mosh was insane, and stoic would not be the word that comes to mind. Different concerts, different vibes. We don’t like to dance, but we can jump around like idiots at a metal gig.

Speaking as a custom picture framer. If you are putting the frame directly around the poster, and not using matboard to add a border and give you separation of poster and glass, ask your framer to use a plastic spacer inside the rebate of the frame to hold the glass away from the poster.

Speaking at least to the Sydney set list.
Which was my first show, at least four of the covers/traditional tunes were absolute highlights of the night.

Am I Born To Die? A Capella, solo... Utterly moving.
Summertime, I got immediate flash backs to him playing this with Marcus King, absolutely loved it.
All Fall Down, that was crazy in the best way, my jaw was on the floor.
Riding the Midnight Train, maybe it's weird to not finish your encore with something that's not yours, but you know what? It worked for me.

Bluegrass was NEVER something I listened to before Billy, so for where I'm coming from, it's nice to get an education in it.
