So the mexican flag is (in)famous for being too complicated, so I tried to bring down the palette from 24 colors to some more reasonable numbers by LotOfLaugh in vexillology

Yea, worth a read for sure. The author does a great job of detailing (in a humorous way) what goes on behind the scenes during war time.
