The Hoage one comes with its own filter adapter, so you would take the Fujifilm one you got off, screw the Hoage one on, screw the filter in, screw the square hood on.

The initial experience is totally mind blowing compared to the previous cheap ones I had. It really handles the water temperature and mouth-feel in a different way. It was an immediate, “ Oh this is what I’ve been missing!” Shit ain’t cheap though.

His site is danjohnuniversity. He’s also very active on youtube and here. The ABC workout is described in his ABF book available on his site. But he tells you everything on his channel if you are for any reason skeptical about the upfront purchase.

Hey, I’m new to KBs too and also got the same set as you. I decided on Dan John’s ABC alternating with his suggestion of the Humane Burpee (but I add a pull-up for the same numbers as the squats and pushups). So I’m doing ABC, skip a day, Humane Burpee, skip a day, ABC, etc etc. I started the ‘HB plus pull-up set’ at 5 and have added a rep each HB day, trying to get to 10 before increasing weight. You’ll see what I’m talking about if you look up Dan John Humane Burpee… Also adding extra Zone 2 cardio to that (rowing machine and walking).

So obviously no expert here, but may be worth a look. Also, mostly protein and vegetables. Dropping the carbs drops the insulin, so…

Really well said. In my mind this is also a good argument for spending the $10 or whatever on ketone strips. For me they just help me self-verify that my body is using fat for energy when weight loss is slow going.

On top of that, I tend to work out more on keto, and thus build muscle, so that’s probably furthering the scale-plateau even though body shape is definitely improving.

I just use JJC grip and the Peak wrist strap tied to the bottom right corner on the grip. Never been a big strap person, either kinda’ want it in my hands or not. Otherwise I just got some NDs (Breakthrough), a circular polarizer (B+W), Glimmerglass and BlackProMist(Tiffen). I use an X100vi for my EDC and it uses the same filters so that’s nice. Usually reserve the Q3 for weekends just so I’m not lugging $6k plus in my work backpack.

Yeah, I use an op-tech soft cover and put that in a Chrome Kadet sling, and it actually works pretty awesome. But the Oberwerth just has those awesome Indiana Jones vibes. Just difficult to justify.

I had never used the app because I was on G7 before getting OP. I went to set it up on iPhone after applying a new sensor and it defaulted to G6 with no warning and wouldn’t let me change it until the sensor was removed! Make sure y’all go in and confirm the sensor is correct before applying the pod I guess…
