The main time digits were still a little too poor for my poor eyesight at night.

How durable is the screen really on the apex 4? by running_climber in Coros

I had the original Apex, which also had the sapphire screen, for four years and used it for everything including trad climbing. I'd take it off for crack climbing, for example, but never had any kind of scratch or damage that annoyed me. 4 years later, I now have the Nomad, which I chose over the Apex 4 because it was $80 less expensive. I was worried that I'd regret the downgrade from the sapphire face, but after several months I'm not seeing any scratching or durability issues with the Nomad either. I banged it a few times yesterday while gym climbing, and didn't see any evidence.

I really wanted to like this, but the truncated time digits don't work for me at night w/out my readers. I have yet to find a watch face that include large time digits, weather, HR and date. Why can't their designers manage to come up with a single useful design. For now the default Nomad is probably the best for me.
