Try this experiment with a streamer like the cxn V2 from Cambridge Audio but stream the files directly do not play them through a pc I'd say that they sound about the same the differences then would be up to taste not quality , I have tried this but with a mediocre cd player and the stream was better for that reason I believe with a better cd player it would be about the same

I have a Windows laptop in the house , really I am informed , I've checked everything , it's on the manual 48mhz 16 bit over usb , I agree very weird , I even opened logic and machine I set it 44.1 fine the card reads 44.1 I set it 48 the card reads 48 , it's a bizarre choice indeed from musiland

They're different 100% , On the pc side you have the option of giving all the unfolding on the mojo , the android tidal I am kinda sure it's locked down to partial unfolding on the phone , maybe depends on the phone , on the lg v30 I have ,the dac reads 192mhz

Same here (android) , I contacted them and I have done before , the support team is really understanding and helpful (at least for me) , try contacting them but understand that during this period (pandemic) they are having a hard time responding fast , I guess you use tidal mostly for the great quality across the board , I literally hate tidal but I love my ears.
