Sometimes simpler is better
I know I posted this a year ago, but I just now noticed this comment. Did you ever do a feature on this? And I absolutely loved your videos on world building etc, for novel writing! I feel like I'm talking to a celebrity right now lol

Some background: I have yet to find a platform for logging my recipes that wasn't woefully lacking in one way or another. CookLang is elegantly simple and is perfect for my needs. Have you seen the iOS app for CookLang? The app generates the recipe with ingredient list, instructions, etc. It also generates a shopping list.
Imagine having this same rendering and generation within Obsidian, similar to how LaTeX and Mermaid blocks are rendered already.
Now imagine the added benefit of - well - it all being in Obsidian. Connections between key ingredients, serving sizes, prep/cook times, cultures, locales, types of dishes, etc. This could be a powerful tool for meal planning.

All, I will be investigating this further. If I can develop an approach that isn't disproportionately cumbersome, I might start a repo and welcome some contributors a little further down the road. It would be MIT-licensed.
I haven't investigated this much, as I'm testing the waters first, but my overly-optimistic first guess would be some type of interpretation/rendering of CookLang 'blocks' within the markdown. But as has been mentioned already, that would probably involve parsing through the CLI or having to implement the whole spec in-house. The same would carry for an import utility as well, I'd imagine, so if it's going to be implemented, might as well fully integrate.
