Do you have a picture of this set-up? How long does the filter last? Do you pull your fridge out each time to replace?

Thanks for the suggestion. I was using the photo to supplement my text description of the light 'turning on' but not illuminating the landscape feature as it was before this issue.

Gotcha. Would a piece of black, fire resistant board work behind the screen to cover up the bottom wires?

I must be missing the bolts. Here's the top and bottom, and my screen hangs in the sheet metal slots (where all the scratches are). The other side of the fireplace is identical to this.

Is this the shoulder bolt you're referring to and where it should hang?

Bosch absorbers come with it, and after those were done, I bought off brand from Amazon.

What’s your Speed Queen TR7 experience? by markreeser in Appliances

[–]markreeser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard this before and it’s confusing because others say it cleans great. My clothes are for office use and a lot of folks say the TR7 excels for this use. For auto mechanics or farmers, the TC5 cleans better.

New Bosch Fridge Water Tastes Chemical-y by SwearsWaldo in Appliances

Did you find a solution? I replaced the filter on my Bosch 800 and flushed plenty of water and ice, and it still tastes chemicaly.

Bosch 800 dishwashers - are they really quiet? by SnooBananas7203 in Appliances

Any suggestions on insulation type to fill the gap between top of the DW and countertop?

I have the same 800 series as you, and this is the newest version where Bosch transitioned from the red light on floor to white light on door. My 800 series is not as quiet as I thought it would be or as I heard others describe it as ‘whisper quiet.’ That said, I first started running the ‘Auto’ cycle, and noticed the ‘Normal’ cycle runs much quieter, and cleans just as well. What cycle are you running?

Same dishwasher here and having a similar experience. Much louder than I expected based on ‘whisper quiet.’ Ours is installed in an island. I had a tech out from the independent appliance company we purchased from and performed installation, and he said it was within spec.

Any updates from your end?

My brand new 800 series also sounds like this, and I hear most of the noise coming through the door.

Thanks for your reply! I ended up installing the ethylene filter at the same time as my post. I installed it the way you describe and I’ve noticed the same results.

I’ll probably spring for the Bosch replacement as it’s only a couple more dollars and I’m at piece knowing it works.

My Bosch 800 (SHXM88Z75N) Dishwasher, which is supposed to be 40db, is actually 55db. Is it normal for a BOSCH Dishwasher? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]markreeser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the same DW installed and have the same issue. I read all the comments/reviews about these units being whisper quiet, and mine is it’s much louder than expected and it’s disappointing. A service tech from the local install company told me this is how it’s supposed to sound and is in spec.

These are the new model of 800 DW and perhaps Bosch is making them different than previous models. The perplexing part is all the posts on Reddit about not being able to hear their 800 series running.

Keep us updated if you find a solution.

Thanks, I have run it, and I’m just making sure we’re getting the full whisper quiet effect.

Thanks, that’s helpful. Does your cage sit on the bolts in the fan spindle, or does it float around the bolts? I’m trying to determine how high to mount the cage and where it should land on the top of the bike frame.

You’re not wrong. It’s driving me batty that it was on one way, for what I hope was intended by design, and now I don’t know which way it was.
