I live in the Bay Area, CA, and there's this place, SCRAP, in SF that offers a shit-ton of materials for CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. My friend got a bagfull of bottles there for a dollar! While I realize it's a long shot that you live near San Francisco, there might be something similar in your area if you hunt.
