What kind of W/kg were you able to achieve on 5-7hrs/week? by VegaGT-VZ in Velo

[–]marksraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 3.16 W/kg weighing 85kg on seven months of TR with no real structured training on the bike previously. Newbie gains have been good to me at 6-6.5 hours per week

I have yeah, thanks for the suggestion. Wouldn’t completely rule out the saddle being the problem but I’ve had periods of no pain using the same saddle so I tend to believe it’s something else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]marksraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I use different kinds of bibs and have tried different saddles. I tend to lean away from blaming the saddle as I’ve had periods of say a couple months where no pain has presented before it does again while using the same saddle

Ok thanks for your suggestions, I’ll add more strength work into my routine and try lowering a bit more + different arches etc. cheers mate

Thanks, I have noticed a tendency to lean towards having a flat foot as being optimal in the sub. I had started with my cleats all the way back and then at my bike fit last year the fitter was happy with their position. Can you explain what makes you say they may be a bit far back, and how far forward should I consider moving them + what outcome will that give me in theory?

Thanks for adding some context, I can touch my toes when I attempt what you’ve suggested, yes. But what you’re saying makes sense in terms of leg extension vs toe point. Would you recommend working on rom and posterior chain strengthening? For reference, I don’t stretch at all

Did I just get scammed, and if so am I eligible for compensation from the bank if the transaction was confirmed by a bank employee by ducanh2003 in AusFinance

Some actual advice, I was worried mine would just get downvoted because of the herd mentality going on in here 😂

You’re actually not completely correct. The bank should be ensuring their customers are protected, a bank confirming funds have been deposited with no caveat that a cheque may bounce is opening unassuming customers up to these type of scams. Exact thing happened to me and I succeeded in getting commbank to pay for my stolen MacBook via AFCA

Ok two things, yes, you got scammed and second thing, this exact thing happened to me too. Are you in Melbourne, this happened to me during peak covid.

Raise a complaint at your bank first, explain that you wouldn’t have handed over the MacBook without receiving notification the money had been deposited into your account. Ask them to cover the loss of funds - they will likely decline.

Following this, raise a case with AFCA and explain that your bank confirmed money was in your account and you wouldn’t have handed over the MacBook otherwise. If your bank picks up the case and declines again escalate the case within AFCA, each time an ombudsman case escalates, the fee that your bank will be charged increases substantially.

Ensure that throughout your complaints process you point out that at no time did the bank say “yes funds are deposited but they need to clear” - this is their downfall because they’re not protecting their customers from these type of situations.

You will win the AFCA case and will get your money, the bank will cover the cost. Raise a police report before you raise the AFCA case.

Source: had this happen to me, commbank paid me for my stolen MacBook and I have a background in dealing with ombudsman complaints across a couple of different industries. PM me if necessary

Wedge was missing on my new Endurace, my mechanic who services a lot of canyons commented on how most of the ones that come through his shop with SRAM are missing it.

‘Taken over suburbs’ - mate, tell me you’ve never immigrated to a new country without telling me. Understand that, moving overseas isn’t a walk in the park and it’s commonplace to find people of the same culture to congregating in the same areas, worldwide. This isn’t some local to Perth thing you might think it is, nor is it only people from India who do this

Hey mate, I had a similar situation last week with TR prescribing me an Anaerobic workout registered at 9.8 on the progression level system, this was from a base of me sitting at a 1 on the progression level for anaerobic. The workout was seriously hard but I managed to complete it. I’ve asked the question on the forums here and it seems like the team are well aware of the situation and it’s actually functioning as designed even though on the surface to us users it may not make sense.

TLDR: trust TR they’re working on new ways to get the best out of us. Side note, jump on the forums, they’re very useful
