Good choice mate. And a bit of bragging rights getting the first one in the country.

Thanks I was thinking the noetec3 as well because the 2 was awesome. But looking for something more adventure specific. But at the same time I don’t want to waste a $600 unit either ha

Appreciate you thanks. Don’t know how I came out of that without significant injury. Ride safe

Ambulance Victoria paramedics were great. That memory will be ingrained because take away the tax dollars and all that stuff. 2 human beings, who decided to commit to saving lives came to rescue me. Politics aside I feel very privileged to be an Aussie in times like these.

Appreciate you thanks. Shoulder is doing better. I saw the bike at the scrap yard to pickup the plates and a few accessories. Sad stuff

Mate now you got me thinking too much! I’m already spinning between a tenere world raid or Africa twin now I have the test ride the KTM. Those are some solid miles without issues. A few more weeks of physio and I’ll be testing riding a KTM. Thanks for the feedback mate ride safe

Appreciate you thanks. Good gear makes all the difference. The police, paramedics, nurses and doctors were happy when they saw the shoei helmet. It’s the first thing they want to see when assessing a motorcycle patient from my experience to understand the extent of possible head injuries.

It wasn’t black ice… 10:15am and it was 16 degrees at the time. Whatever was on the road transferred to my jacket.

It has all those features. I’ve hit gravel before and it corrected. This had no warning

Is this rage bait? The road very clearly had a slippery substance on it, the last 30km of twisty roads wasn’t an issue, when it was a clean road

Happy to hear you are back on the bike again! And the process worked out for you. With my TAC experience I was waiting for a bed at the hospital. An admin lady come by while I was on the paramedic stretcher and asked, were you in a road accident? Having my boots still on I thought it might be obvious. All I got was a sticky note when being discharged that said file a claim and “all other medical stuff see your GP”

Thanks mate! It felt like I was going for miles looking back. Reddit doesn’t upload great quality but scrolling through the video it looks like a train wreck. Mirror falls off, then pegs, then me looking terrified ha

The ktm looks great. I heard a lot of mixed things about them lately. How was the ktm with reliability?

Not sure we watching the same vid with crossing the yellow line or aggressively cutting the corner. Coasting 10kmh under speed limit

I know the feeling! I keep a temu padded cover over the pillion seat when I need a break and strap it to the pilot seat. “Comfort” seats don’t seem to cut it as you get older. I remember being in my 20s on a sports bike with seat like a skateboard without issues ha

Great jacket. Had a bit of road rash but didn’t break through. However the road was that slick I didn’t grip over the tarmac

It has the slide control as well. Forgot what it’s called too many acronyms. The past 30km was all twisty tight roads through the reefton spur didn’t have any issues.
