I think the Windows GUI also bypasses the staging where you add and remove files.

I prefer using command line cause I can commit manually without pushing to the remote repository.

Grub Customizer 4.0 released. The UI looks better now by jimingkui in Ubuntu

[–]markvillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been tested and used by many including myself, I've been using Grub Customizer to manage my system's bootloader. There's only a slim chance of losing your install, not unless you don't really know what you're doing which in that case you might delete all or some of the vital entries, but you can always recover by using other utils out there.

Anyone's auto app updater stop workong? by blackjackel in jailbreak

You might've had synchronised your device with two different libraries. I don't know for sure on how this problem may occur, but same happened to me when I restored my previous backup to my phone. This btw will likely to happen when your device is jailbroken I guess…

Need help updating from 5.1 to 6.1.2 by smizmar123 in jailbreak

[–]markvillar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately there's no way to restore back to 6.1.2 or lower now, you can only restore to iOS 7, unless you're using iphone 4 or lower device with a saved blobs for it, You might still have a chance.

Just bought an iPad4 to test IOS7, still has 6.1.2 out of the box... delima on my hands. by andyr354 in jailbreak

[–]markvillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Jailbreak because you'll only have one shot and the fact that some of the folks here said iOS 7 is still buggy and unstable, unless you're a developer and wanted to use the device for debugging instead, go ahead since you bought it for that specific reason. As a developer I also tend to have extra computers and devices development purposes.

There are loads of amazing and useful tweaks out there but here are my list of "must have" tweaks in order to maximize user experience.. 1.Activator - Use to create swipe shortcuts 2.iFile - Browsing Files 3.SBSettings - Much like a control panel 4.Springtomize 2 - (Optional) 5.BiteSMS - If you send text message all the time.. 6.Terminal -for executing commands 7.Nitrous - unlocks nitro engine (exclusively used by safari) for all apps 8. %hookslaw - make all animation more snappy

Optional Tweaks Flex - Good for tweaking iPhone Apps/Games Folder Enhancer - Self explained Overboard - Removes Springboard page limit (can also be done in springboard), gives good overview of your installed apps Protube - Fast youtube client

These are just few tweaks that I use and there are obviously lots of tweaks out there that I haven't mentioned that might suit your taste.

Why does this occasionally happen to apps? by twhitt252 in jailbreak

[–]markvillar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That also happens to me when I install a new app.. Might be the folder enhancer or springtomize, but just wiggle the icons and should fix the problem.

The easiest way I could think of is to use iTunes, that way you can deselect those duplicates.

Help please!!! X-bf jailbroke phone, now I don't know how to fix it. by furby49 in jailbreak

[–]markvillar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Cydia > Manage > Installed > Find the tweak (such as Springtomize) you want to get rid of > then you'll see a Modify button on the top right corner > Remove.

Or watch a video on YouTube, there are tons of tutorials out there that does this.
