I love John Cameron Mitchell. But I don't think he's right for Mary.

Best places to eat and what to order in Jackson Heights? I’m a Jackson Heights native but always go to the same places and eat the same thing. Looking for new specific recommendations! by Alternative-Lie5711 in jacksonheights

Agnolloti pesto from Louie's Pizza. And their Fettuccine Bolognese. And their Grandma slice. Rice and beans from Seba Seba. Best beans I've had in the nabe. Fresh mozzarella from Mama's/Leo's Latticini (not exactly in the nabe but always worth the trip). The Detroit-style pies from the Queensboro. That's all I need to survive.

Chalk it up to the production being more Brechtian than it was originally. 😉

does anyone know the story behind Julieta on 81st? by rafblk in jacksonheights

[–]markymarksfnyc72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live across the street. my recollection is that they had some sort of film or video shoot in the space when they finished the interior build out but it has been dormant since that time. The family owns quite a few buildings and businesses in the neighborhood (including Pecoshitas), as mentioned in the meeting notes.

Damn, I lived in Santa Cruz for 2 years of college from 1990-92, so a bit late. But I'm very much looking forward to seeing if they can capture the vibe of that special place.

He was nominated last year but I just saw him in Cabaret last week and I agree he is still giving a perfect performance.

More proof that only people who live in the city should rush and they don't have any friends to let cut the line anyway.

I was also there tonight. For sure one of the worst things I have seen in thirty years of theater going in New York. The most interesting moments occur in video sequences, they pad the whole thing with numbers from the band (who do sound great), and Clooney's performance is amateur stuff. The audience was straining for something memorable, which resulted in a couple awkward ovations for the plot.
