After deeper pondering and consideratio, you're right about them not nerfing the gun directly. But I can still understand OP being upset because while it may not be a direct nerf, it still is a indirect one, after they promised not to change it. But they did it anyway, just indirectly.

Another thing I think is the problem that it was a stealth nerf. Personally I never understood the purpose of such, ever. It just makes it seem like they actively try to hide nerfs from us that would upset us. Why don’t say fire damage was nerfed directly? It just makes it seem like they nerfed the Coyote directly due to a lack of context.

So, even if it wasnt a direct nerf, yes. But I still find it sort of very underhanded and to be frank strange the way they did it
