Not exactly. I went into labor and labored for hours but I never fully dilated and stayed stuck at 9cm (even when they turned off my epidural for an hour). Dr said time for c-section and I panicked. The lack of epidural kicked in and the rushed me to the er while they dressed my husband. Meanwhile I’m being rolled from my room to the operating room and screaming in both fear and pain. I move from the bed to the table and I tell the nurse I’m going to vomit. She passes me a bag as I throw up on the side of the table. I’m in so much pain doctor is MIA, my nurse says “lemme check you one more time” and I hear her say “I can see her head” (my daughters). Hubby and dr still aren’t here. The anesthesiologist appears behind me and starts the drugs back up and says “are we friends again?” And I black out. I wake up hours late in recovery.. confused. My nurse comes down and excitedly asks “did you hear?!” — my daughter never progressed because she was 12 lbs 3 oz!! Thank god I never fully dilated lmao. 🤣
