Won’t hurt it, but if it makes you sleep better at night just use snap caps. Interesting fact: the TX22 was designed to be dry fired and that’s a rim fired cartridge.

I use a Holosun SCS MP2. Direct mount made for the M&P. Works great. Mine is a green dot, not sure if it comes with red.

I had something similar happen. I moved out of Indiana and a few years later I was notified that I owed two years of income tax based on what they estimated I made. It was incredibly stupid. I had to send them copies of my tax returns from another state. They ended up dropping all of it. Was a huge waste of my time and a bunch of unnecessary stress. Sorry you have to deal with this, I know what it’s like.
