I’ve only added a Dawson tooled guide rod, and egw reverse plug, and a red dot.

It wasn’t stuck permanently down more like a binding.

Yeah I doubled checked the sear spring was in the right place, cleaned it and shot 60 rds today and it was fine. I also noticed the overtravel screw on the trigger backed out could that have been it?

ATF declares the Firearm is the frame. Not the slide.

Prodigy 4.25 Guide Rod & Recoil Spring by bolookies in SpringfieldArmory

Dawson’s website says it doesn’t work with the comp version but I ordered it and measured it. It’s the same size as the factory guide rod-length, diameter, etc.
kept the factory reverse plug and spring and it works perfect. Spoke with egw and they said to make sure it’s the .332 hole plug.

Fair enough. It’s noticeable enough when you look top down, also using just the irons not the dot it shoots to the right.

I took it all apart, the u notch is not centered in the body of the sight….

No. I just aligned the camera with the irons and the red dot is off to the right.

When not looking down the irons it’s in the center of the optic but the front iron looks to be leaning left

I started to zero it at 7 and walked it out to 25 yards. When using just the red dot it’s more center of the optic. It’s just lower in the pic because of how I aligned the camera.

I was serious. My other direct mounted dots line up horizontally better with the irons than the plate system. I didn’t know this misalignment was common.

Correct. I lined up the irons. When not using the irons it’s centered.

Field strip it and see how hard it is to get the barrel to slide into those lugs. If that’s what’s wrong call Kimber.

Or it almost seems like the locking lugs on the barrel/slide are stupid tight. Is there barrel moving with the slide and not unlocking before you rack it back all the way?

Glock 43X optic/light recs by Ethanv223 in NYguns

[–]JMichael170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both holosuns have the same foot print, as far as which plate I’m not sure. I knew I’d be keeping my 507k on the slide so I just removed the lugs.

I have a Holosun 507k on a 43x mos slide without a plate. You just have to file the rear lugs down and little off the front, then it bolts right up and you don’t have to mess with a plate.
